• This is known as secondary motion.All Planets move forward IN THE Zodiac, (unless retrograde).Moon and Sun always forward in zodiac (an anti-clockwise direction around the chart) The same direction of the houses. NB: Houses don’t move, only cusps change.

★ Exercises Animate a chart.

• Most Astro Software has animate feature. Or CLOCK, NOW feature.

• See what signs will rise at the ASC, one after the other. The 1st degree rises first.

• See the Moon, the fastest moving object, move forward in the Zodiac, as it moves backwards through the houses. (Anticlockwise in Chart) Use one hour increments. Use one minute increments. Use one day increments.

• Watch the MC change position during the a day, season.

• Watch how houses, remain in tact in the circle. eg 1st house at ASC, 10th at MC, 7th on DSC

As the Earth turns into the East, the sky rises, as the planets move forward in the zodiac.
