With a strong track record for almost three decades, the MEGA SHOW SERIES has established itself as the most important showcase and sourcing hub for Made-in-Asia products in Hong Kong every October. Every year, the MEGA SHOW-Part 1gathered 3,000+ exhibitors from Asia and around the world, and attracted 30,000+ purchase-ready trade buyers from over 120 countries and regions.

The current ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic has brought about halts of most of the trade shows throughout 2020, and the rescheduling of several major 2021 Jan-Feb trade shows in Europe to April or months later, leading to clashes with the trade fairs held in Hong Kong during April. This will negatively affect buyer attendance to many trade fairs taking place before summer next year in Hong Kong. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdown and restricted social activities have made consumers around the world think more about their homes and try to enjoy as much of the festivities as they can during the home-bound period. December has long been the very month during which people would buy an assortment of decorations to add joyous spirit and glamor to the Christmas festival. Christmas trees and ornaments suppliers are looking to wrap up 2020 with bumper sales, as more and more households want their homes decked in holiday cheering mood to keep the festive spirit alive. Once the COVID-19 pandemic gets an easing, sourcing and buying for Christmas and festive products will pick up as the improved market mood returns.

The global market outlook for Christmas and related product categories remains strong for the coming years. According to the 2019-2024 Global Christmas Lights and Christmas Decorations Consumption Market Report, the Christmas lights and Christmas decorations market size is forecasted to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 4.2% to reach US$7,590 million by 2024.
