Parofen (Paracetamol &lbuprofen) Tablets COMPOSITION: Each tablet contains: Paracetamol 500 mg Ibuprofen 400 mg PROPERTIES: * Parofen tab is a combination of two well effective, safe agents (Ibuprofen and Paracetamol) * Paracetamol is an effective antipyretic, analgesic with mild anti inflammatory properties * Ibuprofen is a non steroidal anti inflammatory, which possesses strong analgesic and antipyretic activities. Combining between these two agents, which act by two different mechanisms, result in a dual effect in the treatment of pain and fever. INDICATIONS: “All febrile conditions as analgesic, antipyretic. Relief of mild to moderate pain such as: headache, toothache, postoperative and musculo skeletal pain. Potent analgesic for influenza and common cold. CONTRAINDICATIONS: * Parofen is contraindicated in patients with asthma, peptic ulcers and hepatic dysfunction.

COMPOSITION:

Each tablet contains:

Paracetamol 500 mg

Ibuprofen 400 mg

PROPERTIES:

* Parofen tab is a combination of two well effective, safe agents

* Hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. PRECAUTIONS:

• Pregnancy, this medication should be used

only when clearly needed during the first 6 months of pregnancy. Use of Parofen during late pregnancy should be avoided. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

As with other drugs excreted in milk, Parofen is not recommended for use in nursing mothers.

SIDE EFFECTS:

* Parofen tab. is generally well tolerated, adverse events when

observed are usually mild and transient in rare cases may cause

nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, skin rashes and hepatic

disturbances.

DOSAGE and ADMINISTRATION:

‘One tablet three times daily

N.B: Parofen tab is not recommended for children below 12 years

old

STORAGE:

Keep at room temperature (25 °C). Keep out of

reach of children
