•  At Hofstra University, the commuter parking lots are filled in excess throughout several hours of each day.

•  There is not enough space for every one at peak hours of the day.

Observa%on  •  Commuter student, Steven, continuously struggles with finding a parking

space. •  Steven is always late for class.

•  Sometimes it takes Steven upwards of 20 minutes just to find a spot. •  Steven is not alone.

•  To encourage people to engage in a behavior where the positive outcome is delayed, introduce present benefits to make the desired outcome more appealing.
