RESERVATIONS Park reservation season is from the 2nd Saturday in
April through the 2nd Sunday in October.
Ann Morrison, Esther Simplot, Julia Davis and
Veterans Memorial Park can be reserved at
12:01am on January 1st. Reservations for all other
reservable parks are accepted up to 11 months in
advance (12:01am on the 1st day of the 11th month).
Payment is requi red to f ina l ize a
reservation. When not reserved, facilities are available
on a first-come, first-served basis. Fees are subject to
change without notice.
FOUR (4) options to place a reservation:
ONLINE: Facilities may be reserved online via our
RecTrac system. To make a reservation online,
customers will need to have a valid username and
password at https:/bprwebtrac.cityofboise.org prior
to making an online reservation. Your address will be
verified by a staff member during regular business
hours.
FORM: Fill out an online request form and submit it
for processing.

legal holidays.
CANCELLATIONS-REFUNDS-RESCHEDULING
A $15.00 processing fee is charged for reservation
cancellations made at least seven (7) business days
prior to event date. Refunds are not issued when
cancelling within seven (7) business days of the event.
Conflicts for park use related problems, may result in a
refund if verified by Boise Parks & Recreation’s (BPR)
on-call staff. Refunds or rescheduling are not granted
due to adverse weather conditions or acts of nature.
A $5.00 processing fee may be charged to change the
date or location on all confirmed reservations.
Rescheduling cannot be made less than seven (7)
business days prior to the event.
CONFETTI & DECORATIONS · Confetti, bird seed, popcorn, rice or etc. is prohibited.
· Bubbles are acceptable.
· Decorations may be attached only by tying to metal, wooden, or stone structures or must be self-supporting.
· All decorations must be removed at the end of the event.
GARDEN RESERVATIONS The following policies are established to protect and preserve the sensitive nature of C.W. Moore Plaza, Esther Simplot
Friendship Island, Julia Davis Rose Garden and Kathryn Albertson Park.
· Alcohol, food and drink are not permitted
· Up to 10 chairs may be hand carried in and out of garden locations. Chairs must be located on paved or brick surfaces.
· Vehicles, horses, or carriages must remain on roadways or in parking lots.
· Photographers and their subjects must remain on manicured turf and paved or brick surfaces.
· Sound must not exceed 62 decibels measured at a distance of 20 feet.
· Power is not available.
· Benches must not be moved.
ALCOHOL POSSESSION & CONSUMPTION Alcoholic beverages, other than beer and wine, are not
permitted in Boise City Parks. Beer and wine may be
possessed or consumed within the Boise City parks except
upon any street, parking lot, restroom, pathway,
playground, swimming pool, community center,
neighborhood center, skate park, archery range, cemetery,
BMX facility, youth sports complex, Boise River Greenbelt
(including the areas within 250’ of the Boise River
Greenbelt), C.W. Moore Park, Fairview Park, Julia Davis Park
including the Rose Garden and Gene Harris Bandshell,
Kathryn Albertson Park, McAuley Park, Memorial Park, Platt
Gardens, Riverside Park, and Shoreline Park.
Beer/wine is allowed, in the following restricted areas by
permit only, in conjunction with a facility reservation or
scheduled Boise Parks & Recreation (BPR) activity. These
locations include Ann Morrison Old Timer’s Shelter, Borah
Shelter (large), Capitol Park, Julia Davis Agriculture and
Boise Pavilions, Esther Simplot Pavilions and Pier, Marianne
Williams Gazebo, Kristin Armstrong Municipal Shelter and
Picnic Sites #4 Sweet Gum, #6 Poplar and #7 Ash.
Distribution or sale of beer and wine, in Boise City parks, is
allowed only as local and state laws and regulations allow.
Caterers, serving beer or wine, must secure a Liquor
Catering Permit from the Boise City Clerk’s Office,
(208)384-3703.
CANOPY, TENT OR KIOSK Placement requires approval from BPR prior to the event.
All canopies will be weighted instead of staked to avoid
damage to electrical, irrigation and water lines. Contact
Boise Fire Department, Fire Code Enforcement at
(208) 570-6572 to obtain a permit for tents, canopies, and
awnings over 200 square ft. per structure. U.F.C. Article 32,
B.F.D. Tent Permit.
CLEANLINESS Cleanliness is the responsibility of all park users. Deposit
trash in the receptacles provided. If trash receptacles are
full, trash is to be removed from the park by the user.
· Cooking grease must be caught and properly disposed.
· Dispose of used briquettes in barbeque grills.
· Any debris left and or damages made to the park are
subject to additional charges.
DOGS Dogs are not permitted in Esther Simplot Park, Kristin Armstrong
Municipal Park, Marianne Williams Park, Platt Garden, Boise Depot
Plaza and all areas by the “Big Mike” train/display, Simplot Sports
Complex, during softball games at Willow Lane, or at Optimist
Youth Sports Complex and Charles F. McDevitt Youth Sports
Complex during posted seasons. Dogs are banned from Kathryn
Albertson Park from March 1 through June 30. Dogs must be
leashed at all other sites. Dog owners are required to clean up after
their pets. Do not allow pets to harass, stalk or chase waterfowl or
other animals.
ELECTRICAL POWER Electrical power is available with a reservation at all reserved sites
except C.W. Moore Plaza, Julia Davis Rose Garden, Kathryn
Albertson Park and Marianne Williams Gazebo. Use only one
appliance per outlet. Groups overloading circuits resulting in an
on-site visit to reset circuits will be charged a fee of $35.00.
Electricity is not provided for inflatables or similar apparatus.
FIREWORKS Fireworks as defined by Boise City Code are prohibited on all park
properties.
GLASS Glass is not permitted
INFLATABLES Waterless inflatable structures or other similar apparatus are
allowed in numerous Boise City parks. Inflatable structures must be
rented from a city-approved equipment provider. It shall be free
standing, weighted, and a generator must be provided for electricity
with noise level of 62dB or less. Visit parks.cityofboise.org
BBQ EQUIPMENT
BBQ’s, portable gas grills, heat generating
equipment, or materials shall not be placed near any
tree trunks or under the branches of any tree. BBQ
equipment must be self-contained.
PICNIC TABLES Do not remove picnic tables from pavilions, shelters and
designated picnic sites. Layout of picnic tables within the
designated area is the responsibility of the permit holder.
Additional tables are available upon advance request for an
additional cost for Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park only.
SALES A license from the City of Boise and a permit from BPR are
required to sell or rent products or services in Boise City parks.
SMOKING IN THE PARKS Per City Code, smoking is not permitted in Boise City parks,
facilities and within 20 feet of the Greenbelt, (exceptions include
designated smoking areas in Ann Morrison, Julia Davis Parks,
Quail Hollow Golf Course and Warm Springs Golf Course) unless
otherwise posted.
SOUND AMPLIFICATION
Sound must not exceed 62 decibels at a distance of 20 feet,
except as authorized by written permit in conjunction with a
paid reservation.
SPEED The speed limit within parks is 15 mph, unless otherwise posted.
TREES It is unlawful for any person to cut, injure, deface or damage any
tree on park property. No signs or related hardware (ropes,
wires, nails, etc.) are to be attached to any tree. Animals or
bicycles shall not be attached or tied/locked to trees. No
chemicals, cleaners, pesticides, or other liquids are to be
deposited near trees.
VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS Due to turf and sprinkler head damage, vehicles are restricted to
paved park roads or parking areas. This includes concession
trailers, delivery and catering vehicles.
WATER All water amenities are prohibited in City parks e.g. commercial
misters, dunk tanks, water slides, kiddie pools, etc. WATER
DISPOSAL: Park users are prohibited from depositing their ice
and any grey or waste water on the grass, sidewalks, in waste
receptacles, privately owned dumpsters, city planters, gutters, or
in the street drainage system.
WILDLIFE Please refrain from feeding or disturbing wildlife.

PARK HOURS Parks are open from sunrise to sunset unless otherwise
posted.
PARK POLICIES Park policies are posted at restrooms and shelters and are
strictly enforced according to 13-03 of Boise City Code.
Park users are required to follow/abide by all Boise City
Ordinances and Boise Parks & Recreation’s Park Use
Policies. Violators will be cited pursuant to Boise City and
Idaho State Codes.
PARKING Parking is limited to designated areas and is available on a
first-come, first-served basis. Vehicles parked in NO
PARKING areas or left in the park after park hours will be
towed at owners’ risk and expense. Boise Valley Towing
