Invited The Good News is that we have all been invited—invited to the Kingdom, invited to be disciples. It’s a life-changing invitation, and like so many other such invitations, it requires a great deal of deliberation and discernment. Whether we choose marriage, ordination, single life, or community life, we know the serious planning and consideration that accompany these profound decisions. Like the tower-builder in the Gospel, we have weighed both the monetary and emotional cost. We have pondered and planned our lives in the direction to which we believe God has called us. And while we pray for guidance and acceptance of God’s will, we often fail to understand so much. Like Solomon, we turn to God for wisdom and counsel in our life-changing decisions. Copyright © J. S. Choir Season begins in September and is moving to Mondays this year. We will resume Monday, September 12. Adult Choir will meet weekly 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. through the spring. Members must be able to attend at least 3 rehearsals/month. No formal training

required. Just an ear for music and a heart for God. Children's choir will be modified this year. We will have children's choir on Mondays in September, April and May from 5:30-6:15. The children will meet weekly during those months and then sing mass at the end of the month. We have scheduled these children's choir months to coordinate with when Faith Formation is in recess so that parents can still have a faith-filled outlet in which their children can participate and grow in faith. No need to sign up in advance - just show up at the first rehearsal! If you have any questions, please contact Shelley Burnett at [email protected]

Stewardship Prayer

My church is composed of people like me.

I help make it what it is.

It will be friendly, if I am.

Its pews will be filled, if I help fill them.

It will do great work, if I work.

It will make generous gifts to many causes, if I am a generous giver.

It will bring other people into its worship and fellowship if I invite and bring them.

It will be a church of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith, and a church with a noble spirit, if I, who make it

what it is, am filled with these same things.

Therefore, with the help of God, I shall dedicate myself to the task of being all the things that I want my church to be.
