ParentsWeb Instructions for Families

To enroll your child at JCHS, you will need to complete the Online Enrollment process through RenWeb. Helpful hints are provided at the bottom of this letter.

1. Please go to www.JohnCarrollHigh.com. 2. Scroll down to the bottom left corner and click on “RenWeb” 3. If you have a student currently at JCHS, please log in to your ParentsWeb Account

OR If you are new to our JCHS family, please create a new User Name and Password by following these steps:

• After the RenWeb ParentsWeb Login screen opens (see screen shot to the right), please select “Create New ParentsWeb Account.”

• Once you click on “Create New ParentsWeb Account” the screen below will appear.

• Enter JC-FL into the District Code field. • Enter in the email field your email address as provided

in your application to the school. • Click the “Create Account” button.

• You will receive an email from RenWeb Customer Support containing a link that will allow you to create your User Name and Password. For security purposes the link will remain active for 6 hours.

• Please click on the link. A “Change/Create Password” screen will open. You may use the default username provided, or create a new User Name. Then type in your desired Password into the “Password” field and “Confirm” Field. Click on the “Save User Name and/or “Password” button. Write this information for your records.

4. Once you have a User Name and Password, please return to the JCHS website, click on RenWeb

(bottom right portion of the website).

5. Enter your newly created credentials, along with JC-FL in the “District Code” field. Log in as a “Parent” (default setting).

6. Please click on “Family Information,” and then the drop down option that reads “Enrollment/ Re-Enrollment”

7. Kindly complete the Online Enrollment procedures by clicking “Start enrollment packet.”

Helpful hints:

• The User Name and Password you created for the Online Application is not associated with this process. • The District Code for JCHS is JC-FL. • Visit https://vimeo.com/152634570 (password: ParentsWeb) for a video tutorial of how to create a ParentsWeb account. • The email address that is used should be the same one that was utilized on the Online Application process. • If you have any errors with this process, please email a screen shot of the problem to JenniferTrefelner@johncarrollhigh.com to obtain help.

(772) 464-5200 Phone, (772) 464-5233 Fax To: Parents of students involved in Athletics for the 2018-2019 School Year Subject: John Carroll High School Athletic Department Participating Information If your son/daughter wishes to participate on an athletic team for John Carroll, then the Athletic Packet must be completed in full before he/she can start practice, including any summer workouts. These forms are available on JohnCarrollHigh.com, under “Athletic Policies and Information”

1. Physical (EL2) -You must have a current physical every year, and the FHSAA form must be filled out completely (all three pages) by the parents/student-athlete/physician. 2. FHSAA Consent and Release from Liability Certificate (EL3) -This has to be filled out completely by a parent (including the insurance information at the bottom). IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure to only write in the sports you are not giving your consent for them to play. 3. FHSAA Concussion Video - The state is requiring all student athletes to view the concussion video and print the certificate. Please give certificate to Athletic Director. 4. Travel Form - This must be filled out completely by the parent and signed in front of a notary. 5. Athletic Participation Fee - The fee of $150 is for the year and will cover the student athlete for all sports he/she participates in. This is due by the first day of practice of the first sport they are participating in.

Incoming freshmen are automatically eligible to participate in athletics, but after the 1st semester they must maintain a minimum of a 2.0 unweighted grade point average (GPA) to be considered academically eligible for any athletic team. We encourage our students to participate in as many sports as they can handle. Here is the list of sports we offer by seasons. Becky McIver Scholarship Application

This is a new scholarship opportunity for incoming 9th grade female students who are attending John Carroll High School in the 2018-2019 school year. One $1,000 “Becky McIver Scholarship” will be given to a female student who is selected based on the criteria below. The criteria for this scholarship are as follows: an incoming female student who is accepted to JCHS, involved with athletic programs, and shows promise to live the mission of JCHS. In order to apply for this scholarship you must turn in this form and a one page (500 word max) essay entitled “What this scholarship would mean to you?” This scholarship application deadline is April 6th. Please place your essay and this application form in a folder and deliver to JCHS on or prior to the deadline, attention Mr. Hopper.
