P&C Committee Message It is still school life as (un)usual during Term 2. It’s already the end of Week 7 of the school term with a few weeks left to go until the school holidays start.

The colder winter weather has definitely arrived so make sure your little ones rug up for the season. If anyone is feeling the winter chill especially tough, remember that the uniform shop is selling V-neck fleecy jumpers which can be worn underneath school jackets for an added layer of warmth. Make sure to book an appointment to come into the uniform shop or order through Flexischools.

The P&C committee is still working hard behind the scenes on many different projects this term. There are a lot of administrative tasks being performed as well as new initiatives being assessed. Stay tuned for more information about these measures in the coming months.

Parent Merit Awards It’s time for merit assemblies like you’ve never known them before. As home schooling has officially ended, it’s time for the dedicated parents and guardians responsible for home learning to be awarded with certificates. The only catch is that it’s up to your children to decide what you get to be awarded for or not. Have fun!

Hungry Haven Canteen News Canteen Operations Hungry Haven Canteen will continue to operate via Flexischool orders only for the time being. Any updates to this will be shared with the school community via email.

Menu updates The best way to keep updated with the canteen menu changes , meal deals, special events and new products is by a/ via our Facebook identity HungryHaven Canteen ( send a friend request to receive updates) or The Glenhaven P&C Facebook page and b/ checking that you are receiving Parent Communications via Flexischools.

Daily Specials These will rotate every 3-4 weeks, so if your favourite disappears from the menu, don't despair it will likely return the following term. The Daily Specials for Week 8-10 for Term 2 are:

MONDAY Jacket Potatoes

TUESDAY San Choy Bow

WEDNESDAY Burgers (moved from Friday) - Beef or Flame Grilled Chicken Fillet

THURSDAY Homemade Pasta Napoletana with optional meatballs or Homemade Pasta Bolognese

FRIDAY Pizza Flavours (3 additional pizza favours) as well as a Pizza Meal Deal

Uniform Shop News Flexischools order only or Appointment only now Thank you to everyone who has been adhering to the social distancing requirements whilst visiting the Uniform Shop in the past couple of weeks. It has been a busy time so we thank you for your patience.

As social distancing is still a necessity and to ensure the safety of our students, teachers and wider school community, we are requesting that people place their uniform orders online via Flexischools for the time being. Please place your order by 5pm Thursday and your order will be delivered to your child's classroom on Friday morning. We are always happy to exchange items if you find you have a size that is not suitable and are happy to answer questions via the Glenhaven P&C Facebook page or the uniform shop email glenhavenpublicschool-uni@pandcaffiliate.org.au.

How to make an Appointment If you have extenuating circumstances and you are unable to place your order via Flexischools or you need to exchange an item, we will be open on Friday mornings between 8.30 - 9.15am by appointment only. To make your appointment, please send an email to glenhavenpublicschool-uni@pandcaffilicate.org.au and you will receive a return email with your allocated time. Please ensure you have emailed your request by 5pm on Thursday. Any requests received after that will not be able to make an appointment until the following week.

For those that have an appointment, please ensure you come at your allocated time. In addition, you will need to both enter and exit the school directly through the office. Please do not enter through the back gate or via the front double gate. These access points are for students only.

We appreciate that this new process will take a little getting used to so we appreciate the school community's support during this time. Please do not visit the Uniform Shop without an appointment. Whilst the Uniform Shop volunteers always like to be able to assist everyone, we will not be able to serve you if you do not have an appointment.

Returns & Exchanges Please note, as of Monday 18th May, we no longer accept any item for exchange or refund without BOTH the tags and original packaging. If you find you have a brand new item that is missing ether the tags or original packaging, you are more than welcome to sell the item privately or on our school P&C Facebook page but we will be unable to exchange or refund them through the uniform shop. The only exception to this is faulty items.

Second Hand Uniform Shop – Appointment Only

The second hand uniform shop will resume opening on the last Friday of each month from 8.30am - 9.30am by appointment only. You are requested to make an appointment for the second hand uniform shop. Appointments will commence at 8.30am and conclude at 9.30am. Parents are to enter and exit through the front office doors only and are not to congregate in groups.

For an appointment, please contact Mel Johnson via email melandrew.johnston@gmail.com . Appointment times will be allocated at 15mins per parent. Payments are strictly cash only.
