PARTNERSHIP• Character development in the education of your son• Football is counter-world and counter-cultural• Playing time does not correlate with success• It is the coaching staff’s responsibility to develop each

player to be the best they can be.• As parents, we ask you trust the coaching staff and

provide positive, PRODUCTIVE, and encouragingfeedback to your sons. We all are on the same page andwant each young man to develop their skills – mentally, physically, and spiritually, to aid them on their pathtoward manhood

• As a parent, you can set the tone on your player’scoachability and attitude.

• Encourage your son to effectively communicate.• While we do understand that you may not always agree

with the coaching staff, plays called, or playing time; wewill require good communication and teamworkmodeled between all parties.

WEIGHT ROOM• We offer a collegiate-style strength and

conditioning program that includes: dynamicstrength, strength endurance, core strength, functional strength, plyometrics, lateral speeddevelopment, linear speed development, andnutrition education.

• Strength training and conditioning is not justimportant as a football player, but rather as anathlete as a whole.

• Athletes should strive to improve theirstrength and speed – not just “show up” andgo through the motions.

• Injury Prevention!!

RECRUITING

• I have meetings with all players who wish to go on to play incollege

• I have meetings with players and their parents about theprocess, what to expect, what they need to do

• Hudl highlight videos• Many established collegiate relationships• Will have a recruiting presentation available on our THHS

website shortly• Statistics!!• Mass marketing and mailing lists vs. ACTUAL recruiting• The level your son is receiving active recruitment is most often

the level college coaches feel he can play. This is NOTdetermined by myself, the THHS coaching staff, parents, or theplayer himself.

• Each year the collegiate “needs” differ as well as competitionwithin the national class per position.
