Dear Parent/guardian,

The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction

with the Shenandoah County public school system is

proud to announce the start of the revised 5th grade

D.A.R.E. program for your child this program does

correlate with Virginia Standards of Learning. The new

program is ten lessons long with a graduation. Please

fill out and return this form to your teacher. If you have

any questions about D.A.R.E. please feel free to contact

Deputy Devin Clark 459-6104.

Requirements for successful completion of program.

•Attend class

•Come prepared with materials (pencil,pen)

•Follow class rules

•Complete work book

•Complete Essay at the end of the program

By signing this form you are giving permission for your son/daughter to take the 10

lesson D.A.R.E. program, participate in the Graduation ceremony at the end of the

program, and for a photo of your child to be taken with the entire class along with Sheriff

Carter to be taken. This will be a keepsake for the students upon completion of the

program.
