News from the Principal . . .

Amberlea Families,

It’s unbelievable how fast this year has gone by. We want to en-courage our students to continue using their accounts at home (Imagine Learning, Achieve 3000, and myon.com). MyOn pro-vides digital books for our students to read and is good through the month of May. In addition, now that AzMerit testing is over we will begin Galileo testing with all grades and other culminat-ing activities. We want to share how proud we are of all our stu-dents and appreciate your support during these times. Please con-tinue to encourage your students to do their best. Also please note, this month the main office will be closed and relocated to the library but business will continue as usual. The office will be undergoing a renovation. We will send a reminder as we get closer to that date. Respectfully,

FREE Summer Time Activities

Take your kids to the library. All of the area libraries have storytimes for the younger kids, and programs and events for the older

ones. Visit the Desert Sage Branch, 7602 W Encanto Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85035. These aren't just book discussion programs any-

more—the libraries in Arizona are very creative.

News from the Health Office:

The end of the year is coming quickly; and it has been a good school year for the health office. Please

remember that all medications that have brought in for their child/children must be picked up by an adult per

District Handbook which states: "Parents/Guardians are responsible for picking up their child's medi-

cation on the last day of school. Medication that has not been picked up will be destroyed ten (10)

days after the last day of school." Please remember; new permission forms will need to be signed again at

the beginning of the next school - they do not carry over.

LOST & FOUND still has quite a few coats, jackets, sweaters, etc. Please come in to find missing outerwear

and/or other items that may belong to your child. Thank you so much.

All clothing articles will be donated to a Charitable cause on the last day of school.

If your child is missing his/her eyeglasses - please come and check the health office. There are 5 pairs of

prescription glasses in my office, as well as a pair of sunglasses. It is a win-win occasion for

child and parent when glasses are found by the owner.

Thank you

Mildred Kleinman, Health Office
