PANCAKE DAY

The day before Lent begins (40 days before Easter) is

Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day.

People make pancakes on this day. It is a day for fun.

• In some British towns there is a pancake race. People try to run and toss pancakes at the same time.

Recipe

• 100g flour• 300ml milk• 1 egg• a pinch of salt• Butter • Lemon juice• sugar

How to prepare pancakes

• Mix the flour,milk,egg and salt• Cook the pancakes in a hot frying

pan with butter• Put lemon juice and sugar on the

pancakes
