POSITION OF THE CONTAINERSYou must place the container with the wheels and handletowards your property. If the container is not placed this way,the materials could be scattered around, or the cover of yourcontainer could be damaged.

For build ings with many containers, it is important to place thecontainers side by side, 50 cm (20 in) apart from each other.

Also, it is important to place the container by the roadsideor sidewalk, but never on the public road. Each citizen isresponsible to place the container correctly. Respecting thisrequest will avoid the containers being damaged by the snowremoval service, or obstructing traffic.

How to use the organic waste bin (COMPOST)1. Keep your indoor container in a convenient location.2. Empty the contents of your indoor kitchen container into your outdoor brown bin.3. Place your brown container at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the collection day.4. Wash both containers with soap and water. Do not wash your indoor container in the dishwasher.5. Leave grass cuttings on your lawn since they act as a natural fertilizer6. Spread fireplace and BBQ ashes on your garden: good source of potassium.7. Wrap your meat scraps in newspaper before putting in the brown bin.8. Make sure to put the brown bin at the curb every week during the summer to reduce the development of maggots
