It’s hard to believe another year has passed and here we arewelcoming the nice weather and new seasons. I hope you all feelrenewed and hopeful and have this program in your plans in the upcoming three months.

I do want to address one issue. Cell phones are everywhere. Wedepend on them for safety and for many it’s the only phone we have.I want to remind you, though, to please remember to turn them onsilent before programs. If you do have to take a call, please leave theroom before you engage in conversation. It’s one of those newmanners in this technical age that we need to remember.

Seven Brides for Seven BrothersPeoria Riverfront Museum Giant Screen Theater

In collaboration with the Hult Center for HealthyLiving’s Encore program, 50 Plus News & Viewsmagazine, and the Fon du Lac Park District, OLLIwill host a special presentation of Seven Bridesfor Seven Brothers on the 7-story Giant ScreenTheater in the Peoria Riverfront Museum. The1954 comedic musical follows the playful story ofa backwoodsman who brings his new wife backto his Oregon cabin, where she is surprised tofind his six brothers who want to get married,too. Nominated for Best Picture in 1954, it isknown for its outstanding dance sequences.

Following the film, we will reflect on thechoreography and theatrical quality of themusical in a moderated discussion with RobinHunt, member of the Eastlight Theatre group.Must be paid and registered by May 23.
