4. LA VOUERE STONEFRUIT, WARM BOKKEVELD, CERES

farm since launching this PALS project on

5. DASBERG BOERDERY, RIVIERSONDEREND

Kipara (Pty) Ltd is the 100% black owned company who holds 51% of the shares in

Dasberg Boerdery (Pty) Ltd. Dasberg farms with citrus, sheep and wheat on 10 farms of

4133 hectares. In our next newsletter we will tell the Dasberg story.

6. THEMBELITSHA, WARM BOKKEVELD, CERES

Daytona Farming (51%) and Elandsrivier Boerdery (49%) is the shareholders of

Thembelitsha Farming (Pty) Ltd who farms with fruit, vegetables, lucern and livestock on

the 220 hectare farm, Daytona

Shareholders of Daytona Farming (Pty) Ltd are Ruth Nomacebiso Yisa, Nozabathini Nkamana, Mncedisi Micheal Nyhadu, Tamsanqa Tinta, Fumanekile Langman Jeke, Michael Thulani Nkwenya, Sicelo Shadrack Mbongula, Day Ngwane, Zamekile Kalo, Mzimasi Mqungquthu and Maleshwana Mokalakala.

7. LEEURIVIER BOERDERY, SARON,

Voorbereidings vir vrugteaanplantings op 63 hektaar.

9. DWARSBERG FARMING, WARM BOKKEVELD, CERES

Shareholders of Dwarsberg Farming (Pty) Ltd

The shareholders of Dwarsberg Farming (Pty) Ltd are Liza Ambraal, Cyril

Nicohlas Appollis, Ashwin Boesak, Mojalefa Benjamin Malangabi, Barend

Benjamin Mentoor, Jan Muller, Fumanekile Ngqaza, Andries Jacobus Smit and

Koos Wildskut.

This 100% black owned company partnered with Oast Farm to re-develop the 77

hectare farm Dwarsberg.

10. BAMBISANE, THERONSBERG, CERES

Tommy Mona (Masiphile Family Farming (Pty) Ltd) 51%

and Gielie Geldenhuys (Rheeboksplaat Farming (Pty) Ltd)

49% will farm on the farm Slangfontein of 970 hectares with

fruit and livestock. Transfer of this farm is scheduled for

early 2019.

11. ABEL & GALANT, THERONSBERG, CERES

Koppieshoogte Boerdery with it's employees are re-vitalising this 275ha fruit and

livestock farm.

12. DUIWELSBERG, WOLSELEY

Five black shareholders bought this farm to develop with super fruit.

13. STUKKIEWIT, CERES

Patrick De Wet Family Trust bought this 94 hectare farm and improved the

practises and infrastructure.

14. KLIPRIVIER, WOLSELEY

Charles Pietersen and his co-trustees recently bought a second farm to establish

more fruit orchards.

15. MORCEAUX, CERES

The company owns a 93 hectare fruit farm in Ceres and recently bought a

substantial amount of CFG shares.

Rossouw Cillie of Laastedrif with 40% shares and his employees with 60% shares

restructured Morceaux (Pty) Ltd to enable further growth and diversification.

16. ROCK BELT RIDGE, KORHAANHOOGTE, ROBERTSON

Mechau Viljoen donated a 570 hectare farm to 100% black owned Rock Belt

Ridge (Olivia Poonah and Lionel Jacobs). The partners will farm with wine grapes

and table grapes.

Donations by Sonop Trust, Morceaux and others of different portions of high value

land for housing developments for farm workers.

Government's reaction and action remain outstanding enabler.

18. BROAD BASED OWNERSHIP

Harmony Trust, Swanvest, Themba Trust, Kruisrivier Trust, Arborlane Employees

Trust, Bokkeveld Partnership, Den Haag Trust, Kliprivier Trust, Crispy, Leopont

(Pty) Ltd, Langwyde Trust are some of the entities with broad based shareholding

by employees in more than 20 farms of approximately 23 000 hectares.

20. PALS PROJECT PHASES

Phases of land reform projects in respect of the PALS framework:

20.1 Planning and Drafting of proposed project;

20.2 Motivation, liaison and approvals;

20.3 Implementation phase

The more than 60 listed PALS projects entails detailed planning and then need

certain government enablers in the motivation/approval phase before it can be

implemented.

21. THE NATION'S COMMITMENT TO LAND REFORM

PALS delegations attended the Parliamentary Colloquium on 8 June 2018, Bela

Bela Land Summit in August 2018, Parliamentary Review Committee in September

2018, Haga Haga Land Summit, Deciduous Fruit Development Chamber (DFDC)

in Mbombela and meetings with Eastern Cape farmers in Komga and Queenstown

in November. The SAPPA Yearly Congress in Cradock was also addressed by

PALS and Landbouweekblad editor Chris Burgess.
