SOUTHERN ALBERTAPalliser Regional Schools is a public school

system located in southern Alberta that offers

international students with the opportunity to

attend faith-based or secular schools in a variety of

friendly and safe communities. Our results show our

commitment to high quality instruction, small class

sizes and individual attention.

Palliser takes great pride in providing specialized

services to international students. This includes

operating our own homestay program and

ensuring each student feels safe and comfortable.

allows us to personalize student experiences and

international students are staying in Canada.

Southern Alberta is known for its open spaces, fresh air and friendly communities.

Temperatures and weather conditions can vary

widely across southern Alberta but generally, our

summers are warm and dry and winters are cold

and snowy. Southern Albertans enjoy the great

outdoors all year, with skiing and snowboarding

popular in winter, and camping, hiking and fishing

in summer. Southern Alberta is known for its blue

skies and sunshine all year round. The scenic

prairie views and its proximity to the mountains

makes southern Alberta one of the best areas for

outdoor activities all year long.

GEOGRAPHYPalliser School Division has schools within the city

of Calgary and close to the city of Lethbridge.

Calgary has a population of 1.2 million and is a

90-minute flight from Vancouver, British Columbia,

or a 4-hour flight from Toronto, Ontario. Calgary

is a friendly city that welcomes people from all

over the world and is best known for the greatest

outdoor show on earth, the Calgary Stampede, a

week long event held annually in July. There are

a wide variety of local attractions to visit such as

the Telus Spark Science Centre, Glenbow Museum,

Calgary Tower and Heritage Park.

Lethbridge is approximately 2 hours from

Calgary and home to approximately 90,000

people. Local attractions include the Nikka Yuko

Japanese Gardens, Helen Schuler Nature Centre,

Fort Whoop-Up, and Galt Museum. Lethbridge is

well known for its scenic prairie landscapes and is

home to one of the highest and longest railway

bridges in the world.

As well, our schools are close to many world

renowned sites; Banff National Park, Waterton

Glacier International Peace Park, Head Smashed-

In Buffalo Jump World Heritage Site, Frank Slide

Interpretive Centre and Royal Tyrrell Dinosaur

Museum. Southern Alberta is known for its scenic

prairies and proximity to the beautiful mountains,

providing ample opportunities for site-seeing

throughout the region.

COALHURST HIGH SCHOOL

Coalhurst High School is a welcoming school environment for everyone who steps through the doors and the school prides itself on close-knit

relationships between students, teachers and staff. The welcoming atmosphere promotes a high-achieving school system that focuses on academics and a high

functioning student leadership program. The drama program has received accolades from the local community and articles have been featured in provincial publications.

Coalhurst High is a community-focused school where everyone feels at home.

COUNTY CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL

County Central High School (CCHS) offers a full range of complementary courses for both junior and senior high and serves approximately 200

students. The school is academically focused with students continually achieving high marks on provincial exams. CCHS offers a wide variety of Career & Technology Studies, fine arts courses and a full complement of athletic programs. School teams include volleyball, basketball, golf, badminton, curling, track and field, cross-county

running, rugby and baseball. The Cultural Recreational Centre (CRC) is attached to the school, making available to the school and the community the best sporting and cultural venue in the region. The Vulcan Bodyworks Fitness Club is another addition to the school operating with a

first-rate, high tech fitness centre and aerobics area. The close-knit community of Vulcan offers a safe and caring environment for students and welcomes students from all walks of life.

NOBLE CENTRAL SCHOOL

Noble Central School has been providing quality education to the families of Nobleford and the surrounding area since 1949. From 2016 to 2018, Noble

Central underwent an $8 million modernization project which saw improvements to the structure and accessibility of the building, as well as upgrades in technology in the classrooms and throughout the school. We believe that strong literacy and

reading skills are important to the success of every student. Together at Noble Central we encourage success and compassion, model care and concern for others and instill a

desire to learn and be contributing members of society. A large part of this means giving students access to many different learning opportunities.

KATE ANDREWS HIGH SCHOOL

Kate Andrews High School is a public school located in the community of Coaldale, Alberta. The school offers grades 9-12 and serves approximately 350 students with a teaching staff of 18. Kate Andrews High School offers a strong

academic core program supplemented by a wide variety of complementary courses. Students have performed well on the Alberta Diploma Examinations, traditionally

exceeding the provincial averages. Teachers of these courses are subject specialists and participate in professional activities to remain up-to-date with the current curriculum and

At R.I. Baker Middle School we foster an inclusive environment where we work together to succeed while taking pride in ourselves and our school. At Baker there is something for everyone. Strong performing and musical arts

programs provide opportunities for students to explore and become excited about the arts. Our large athletics program teaches skills and encourages students to grow

as both athletes and community members.

Providing youth with a high quality education, exposing them to a variety of exploratory courses, and focusing on building meaningful positive relationships is what we pride ourselves

on at R.I. Baker Middle School.

Picture Butte High School (PBHS) is a vibrant public school situated in the town of Picture Butte. The school offers Grades 7 to 12 and serves

approximately 150 students with a teaching staff of 12. The school was modernized in 2013 reconfiguring the space for academic and technology courses.

PBHS is known for its strong academic programming, athletic teams, and its diverse complementary course offerings. PBHS is a community-focused school with many

Calgary Christian Secondary School is a tight knit community that shows support well beyond school walls. Our strong academic programming allows
