Pakistan GA VI has been as sist ing the Government of  Pak istan in the area of immunisation and health development since 2001. Pakistan has received: new and underused vaccine support (NVS); immunisation services support (ISS); health system strengthening (HSS); civ il society organisation (CSO) support; inj ection saf ety upport (I NS). In 2011 Pakistan is planning to introduce the pneumococcal vacc ine wi th t he support of the GAVI  Alliance and it s p art ners . The WHO/UNICEF DPT3 (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis) coverage estimate was 85% in 2009. Pakistan

GAVI has been as sist ing the Government of

Pakistan has received:

new and underused vaccine support (NVS);

immunisation services support (ISS);

health system strengthening (HSS);

civil society o rganisation (CSO) support ;

injection saf ety upport (INS).

In 2011 Pakistan is planning to introduce the

pneumococcal vaccine with the support of the GAVI

 Alliance and it s partners . The WHO/UNICEF DPT3

(diphtheria, tetanus, pertus sis) coverage estimate

was 85% in 2009.
