POLICY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. SECTION 1: AUTO BODY INSURANCE ThissectioncoversthedefinedinsuranceeventsasstipulatedinSection1andisunderwrittenby
RegentInsuranceCompanyLimited.
2. SECTION 2: AUTO BODY WARRANTY Thissectionwarrantstheday-to-daysafetyandaestheticmaintenanceofthevehicleasstipulated
inSection2.Section2isprovidedforbymaintenanceadministrators.
3. SECTION 3: GENERAL INFORMATION Thesectioncoverstheclausesthatapplytothewholeagreement:

GENERAL AGREEMENT DEFINITIONSa) You, your: Thepersonorentitynamedintheapplicationform.b) Insurer: TheinsurancebenefitsunderSection1areunderwrittenbyRegentInsuranceCompany
Limited(Regent/we/us/our).c) Maintenance Administrator: The maintenance benefits under Section 2 are provided by
recognised maintenance administrators.d) Incident: thesingleeventorhappeninginwhichyourvehiclesustainsminorscratchesordents.
Alldamagesarising fromtheoccurrencemustbeclaimedforsimultaneouslyasdamagesthathaveaccumulatedovertimeandareduetoseparateincidentswillnotbeentertained.
e) The Vehicle: This agreement is applicable to the vehicle as described in the application andschedule,whichmaybeanyofthefollowing:Privatemotorcarsandlightdeliveryvehicleswithagrossvehiclemassofnotmorethan3500kgandTaxiswithagrossvehiclemassofnotmorethan8 700kg.i) Vehicles used for any of the following purposes areexcluded: Racing, rallies, hiring,
carryingofexplosivesortradegoodsforbusinesspurposes,drivinginstructionforreward,or if the vehicle is in the custody of themotor trade other than for the purpose of itsoverhaul,upkeeporrepair.
ii) Motorcycles,fourwheeledbikes,scooters,caravansormotorhomes,trailersandboatsare excluded.
f) Period of this Agreement: TheperiodoftheagreementisautomaticallyrenewedmonthlyandwillcontinueuntilcancelledbyyouorRegentInsurance–Pleasesee(j)
g) Commencement of Cover and Benefits: You will be entitled to the insurance cover andmaintenance benefits under this agreement 30 days after the date of your signature on theapplicationformandthecoverwillrunforthefullperiodyouhaveselected,providedthattheinitialinsurancepremiumandmaintenancefeeshavebeenpaidbyyou.

h) Theft or destruction of the vehicle: Ifyourvehicleisstolen,hijackedordamagedbeyondrepairduring theperiodof thisagreement, then theagreement shall bedeemed tohave terminatedonthedateofsuchoccurrence.YouwillbeentitledtoaproratarefundunderSection1ofanypaymentsmadebyyouinadvanceasatthatdateprovidedthatnoclaimshavebeenpaid.ThemaintenanceportionunderSection2isnon-refundable.
i) Value Added Tax (VAT): All monetary amounts referred to in this agreement are deemed to include VAT.
j) Cancellation: Thisagreementmaybecancelledbyyou,orbyRegent,bygiving30dayswrittennotice.Regentmaygiveyounoticeinwritingbyelectronicmail,faxorbyposttoyourlastknownaddress.
k) Change of Ownership: Thispolicyisnottransferable.
SECTION 1: AUTO BODY INSURANCE
INTRODUCTION
Thispolicydocument,theinformationyouhaveprovidedandtheschedule,formthecontractofinsurancebetweenus(RegentInsuranceCompanyLimited)andyou(theinsured).Inreturnforyourpremiumandprovidingthatyoucomplywiththetermsandconditionsofthepolicy,wewillprovidethecoverdescribedinthepolicyandschedule.
1. WHAT YOU ARE COVERED FOR – INSURANCE DEFINED EVENTS
ThePaintTechAutoBodyinsurancesectioncoversyourvehicleforthefollowingdamage:
1.1. Windscreen damage Where your vehicle’swindscreen is damaged by impact resulting in a chip on the surface of
thewindscreenandsuchdamageisrepairable,wewillberesponsibleforthecostoftherepair.In theevent that thewindscreencracksduringtherepairprocess, thereplacementcostof thewindscreenwillbeforyourownaccount.Thisbenefitincludesrepairabledamagetoheadlampsandrelatedglasscomponents.
1.2. Hail damage Whereyourvehicleisdamagedbyhailandcanbesuccessfullyrepairedbyanaccrediteddent
removerorrecogniseddentremovalprocessforhaildamagerestoration,wewillberesponsibleforamaximumindemnityofR2000per12monthperiodofcoverinrespectofsuchrepairordentremoval.
1.3. Wheel rims and mag wheels Whereonlyyourvehicle’swheelrimsormagwheelsaredamagedandarerepairable,wewillpay
fortherepairstothedamageuptoamaximumamountofR2000per12monthperiodofcover.

1.4. Minor dents Wewillpayforrepairsto“minordents”toyourvehiclewhicharewithinanareanotexceeding
15cmindiameter,wewillpayfortherepairstothedamageuptoamaximumamountofR2000.Whereanypartofthebodypanelhasbeenrippedortorn,thenthedamageshallnotbedefinedasadentandshallnotbecoveredunderthispolicysection.
1.5. Scratches Wewillpayforrepairsto“scratches”tothebodyworkofthevehiclewhichdonotexceed15cmin
lengthordiameteranddonotextendovermorethantwobodyparts,wewillpayfortherepairstothedamageuptoamaximumamountofR2000.
2. MAXIMUM INDEMNITY
Themaximumamount thatwewill pay in respect of “MinorDents” and “Scratches” for any1repairisR2000.The total cost of repairs for any 1 Incident may not exceed this amount and therefore no partial claims will be allowed; assuchcostisnotconsideredtobeminordamageandshouldbeclaimedforunderyourcomprehensivemotorinsurancepolicy.
Example: If you have a claim for R3 000, you may not claim for R2 000 and pay the balance of R1 000 to the
repairer. Your claim amount must fall within the maximum amount of R2 000.
3. TAXIS
Wherethevehicledescribedinthescheduleisusedforthecarryingoffarepayingpassengers–TheMaximumIndemnityinrespectoftaxisislimitedtoR2000any1repairandtoR8000intheaggregate for any 1 year of insurance.
TAXI EXCESS YouwillberesponsibleforthefirstR250ofeachandeveryincidentgivingrisetoaclaimunder
eachofthe“DefinedEvents”,except inthecaseof“WindscreenDamage”wherenoexcessisapplicable.
4. WHAT YOU MUST DO
If you do not follow these conditions, then it is likely that your claim will not be paid.a) Care of the Vehicle –Youmusttakeallreasonablestepstomaintainthebodyworkofthe
vehicle.b) Repair –Youmustnotifyusofaclaimwithin30daysoftheincidentandyoumustobtain
authorisationfromuspriortothecommencementofrepairs.c) Repair Co-Operation –Youshall,onthereportingofdamage,atourrequestorthatof
ourdulyappointedrepresentative,ensurethatthevehicleistakentoarepairerapprovedbyus.
d) Rights –NothingcontainedhereinshallgiveanyrightsagainsttherepairerorRegenttoanypersonotherthanyou.

e) Misrepresentation –Misrepresentation,misdescriptionornon-disclosureofanymaterialfact shall render this insurance section void.
f) Rejection of claim and time bari) Youhavetoprovidesatisfactoryproofofanylossthatyouclaimfor.ii) Ifyourclaimhasbeenrejectedortheamountdisputed,youhave90daysafter
receipt of our rejection letter tomake representations to us in respect of ourdecision.
iii) Youhaveafurther6monthstoinstitutelegalactionagainstusaftertheexpiryofthe90daysreferredtoabove.
iv) Ifyoudonotserveasummonsonuswithinthisperiod,youwillforfeittherighttochallengeourrejection.
g) Damage –we,orourdulyappointedrepresentative,shallbethesolepartytoauthoriseorrejectclaims.Youshallallowus,orourdulyappointedrepresentative,accesstoinspectthevehiclethatisthesubjectoftherepair.
5. WHAT YOU ARE NOT COVERED FOR – SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS
Youwillhavenocoverunderthissectioninrespectof:a) anydamagefallingoutsidetheperiodofcover;b) anylegalliabilitywhatsoevertoanythirdparty;c) anyconsequentiallossfromanycausewhatsoever,oranycontractualliabilitywhichyou
maysufferorforwhichyoumaybecomeliable;d) mechanicalorelectricalbreakdownsorbreakages;e) racing,rallies,hiring,carryingofexplosivesortradegoodsforbusinesspurposes,driving
instructionforreward,orifthevehicleisinthecustodyofthemotortradeotherthanforthepurposeofitsoverhaul,upkeeporrepair;
f) anylossordamagetothirdpartypropertyordeathorbodilyinjurytopassengersorthirdparties;
g) anyloss,damageorliabilitycausedbycivilcommotion,riot,strike,war,mutiny,militaryrising,martiallaw,rebellion,revolution,anyactinprotestagainstanyState,Governmentoranygovernmentbody,oranynuclearorradioactivematerial;
h) repairsrequiringstrippingorassemblyofpartsorbodyworkasthatisnotconsideredtobe“minordentsorscratches”andanyrepairsexceeding15cminlengthordiameterwillnotbecovered;
i) repairstothevehiclethathavenotstartedwithin90daysoftheauthorisationoftheclaim;j) any unauthorised repair work completed by the repairer. You will be responsible for
the payment of any unauthorised repair work that was completed by the repairer;k) fraudulent claims: Anyclaimunderthisagreement,which is inanywayfraudulentor
materially inaccurate is excluded. In such circumstances all paymentsmade shall beforfeited.

SECTION 2: AUTO BODY WARRANTY
INTRODUCTIONThissectionistheagreementbetweenyouandthemaintenanceadministrator.Inreturnforyourpaymentandproviding thatyoucomplywith the termsandconditionsof thissection,wewillprovide thecoverdescribedbelow.
WARRANTY BENEFITS
ThePaintTechAutoBodyWarrantysectionaimstomaintainthesafetyandaestheticappearanceofyourvehicleasperthedefinedevents.
1. WHAT EVENTS ARE COVERED – WARRANTY DEFINED EVENTS
1.1. Minor Chips, Dents and Scratches This warranty section protects your vehicle and provides for the restoration of the paintwork
damagedasaresultofgeneralwearandteararisingoutofday-to-daydriving.Thissection islimitedtothefollowingwearandteartothebodyworkofthevehiclestatedintheapplicationform:a) chipsthatarerepairablebymeansofbrushtouchedtechniques;b) dentswithinanareanotexceeding3cm indiameter thatare repairablebymeansof
paintlessdentremovaltechniques;c) scratchesthatcanbeconcealedbymeansofbrushtouchup;d) tar removal.
Maximum Amount Payable Themaximumamount that themaintenance administratorwill pay per repair or restoration is
R1 000. Repairworkwhichfallsoutsidethedefinitionofthewarrantybenefitsdoesnotqualifyforrepairs
under thewarrantysectionandmustbeclaimed forunderSection1.AutoBody Insurance, ifapplicable.
AnyrepairworkinexcessofR1000isnotconsideredtobedamageasaresultofday-to-daywearandtearasdefinedaboveandwillbeforyourowncost,oralternativelymaybeclaimedundertheAutoBodyInsuranceportionofthisproductoryourcomprehensivemotorinsurancepolicy,whicheverisapplicable.
Frequency of Warranty Benefit Thissectionentitlesyoutounlimitedchip,dentandscratchremoval,asdefinedinDefinedEvents
describedabovewithintheperiodoftheagreement.
1.2. Air Conditioner Anairconditioner treatmentproductwillbeprovided toyouunder thewarrantysectionof this
agreement in order to maintain the air conditioner system of the vehicle. Theproductisdesignedtodisinfectyourairconditionersystemfromharmfulbacteria,mouldand
fungi,removingsmellsand,badodours,leavingyourcarsmellingfreshwhilepreventing“SCS”SickCarSyndrome.Theairconditionersystemiscoatedwithanti-bacterialagentsandlastsupto12 months.

Air Conditioner Procedure Thismaintenancebenefitentitlesyoutoreceive1airconditionerproductper12monthperiodof
cover.Youwillbecontactedbytheservicesupplierdesignatedbythemaintenanceadministrator,6months after inception and annually thereafter. Re-gassing, servicing and repairs to the airconditioner are excluded.
2. WHAT EVENTS ARE NOT COVERED – SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS
Youwillhavenocoverunderthissectioninrespectof:a) anydamagethatisnotdefinedunder“DefinedEvents”;b) anydamagefallingoutsidethetimelimitsoftheperiodofthisagreement;c) anydamageexceedingthemaximumrepairlimitasdefined;d) anydamageresultinginthereplacementofanybodypanelorpartthereof;e) anydamageinvolvingaccessories,doormouldings,windowmouldings,beading,lamps
ofanysortoranywindowpanel;f) damagetocarradios,soundequipmentorcartelephones;g) anylossordamagetotyres;h) any lossordamage to thirdpartypropertyordeathofor injury topassengersor third
parties;i) anypre-existingdamage,includingrustingoranygraduallydevelopingcause;j) anydepreciationinvaluearisingfromrepairsorrestoration;k) anyrepairsorservicesoutsidetheRepublicofSouthAfrica;l) re-gassing,servicingandrepairstotheairconditioner;m) repairsrequiringstrippingorassemblyofpartsorbodyworkasthatisnotconsideredto
be“minordentsorscratches”andwillnotbecovered;n) repairstothevehiclethathavenotstartedwithin90daysoftheauthorisationoftheclaim;o) any unauthorised repair work completed by the repairer. You will be responsible for
the payment of any unauthorised repair work that was completed by the repairer;p) fraudulent claims: Anyclaimunderthisagreement,which is inanywayfraudulentor

SECTION 3: GENERAL INFORMATION
1. YOU ARE NOT COVERED FOR
Thefollowingaregeneralexceptionsthatapplytothewholeagreement:
a) Nuclear risks Loss,damageorliabilitydirectlyorindirectlycausedbyorarisingfromionisingradiation
orradioactivecontaminationfromanynuclearfuelorfromanynuclearwastearisingfromburningnuclearfuel;ortheradioactive,toxic,explosiveorotherdangerouspropertiesofanyexplosivenuclearequipmentornuclearpartofthatequipment.
b) War and public disorder Anyloss,damageorliabilitycausedbycivilcommotion,riot,strike,war,mutiny,military
rising,martiallaw,rebellion,revolution,anyactinprotestagainstanyState,Governmentoranygovernmentbody.

2. CONSENT TO DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
YouacknowledgethatthesharingofclaimsandunderwritinginformationbyInsurersisessentialtoenabletheInsuranceindustrytounderwritepoliciesandassessrisksfairlyandtoreducetheincidenceof fraudulentclaims. In thepublic interestandwithaview to limitingpremiums,youherebywaiveanyrighttoprivacyinanyinsuranceorclaimsinformationsuppliedbyyouoronyourbehalfinrespectofanyinsuranceapplicationorclaimmadeorlodgedbyyouandyouconsenttothe disclosure of any information relevant to any insurance claim concerning you or any insured personwhomyourepresent.
3. HOW TO CLAIM
a) Contact our Call Centre Number 0861 113 879 immediately or visit our website on www.cmc.za.net when you have a claim, or if maintenance is required. The Call Centrewilldirectyoutothenearestrepairerapprovedbyus.
b) You must provide the Call Centre with your agreement number before any repair iscommenced.
c) WherethevehicleisataxiyouwillberesponsiblefortheexcessasstipulatedinSection1inrespectofinsuranceclaims.
d) Youmustnotifyusofaclaimwithin30daysoftheincident.e) Please see Section 1. point 4. (What You Must Do) for the full details.f) Youmustcompleteaqualityacceptanceformoncompletionoftherepairorrestoration
work.
Note: You will be responsible for the payment of any unauthorised repair work completed by the repairer.
