SNR is excited to announce a new adventure called the “Game of Life” we have been collaborating with service coordinators, providers,

therapists, specialists, DDA’s and teachers within the community for months to offer free year round classes for our participants to come and

learn valuable and much needed relationship skills in a fun and non-threatening environment. See Calendar for dates. Kathy Hearn a retired spe-

cial education teacher will be facilitating these classes along with fun volunteers and guest speakers. SIGN UP TODAY!!!

Some of the topics we will be teaching on:

1.) Qualities of Friendships-Kindness, loyalty, bullying, how to gain and keep friends, think before you speak, stalking, lying

2.) You only get one chance to make a first impression-Communication, body language, facial expressions, your moods and how they effect

others

3.) Dealing with rejection-Hurt feelings –yours and others

4.) Click, Like, Share–Facebook, Texting, Phone, email, Internet, scams

5.) Staying safe in the community-stranger awareness, body language and how to deal with authorities if you

encounter them

6.) Relationships– appropriate boyfriend and girlfriend relationships and how they should really look, staying faithful and committed to 1 person,

How to treat your significant other, workplace relationships, engagement, marriage, not putting yourself in a bad situation, the importance of

keeping commitments if you make them, your words mean everything

PARTICIPANTS THAT RECEIVE A SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE KROC CENTER CAN USE THIS AS ONE OF THEIR CREDITS. PARENTS WILL BE RESPON-

SIBLE FOR KEEPING TRACK OF THIS!!

There will also be a parent support group during the class door down from SNR at Milestones. This will be a safe place where parents can

meet and discuss the material their children will be going over in class or just talk about any issues they have with their children with others

that understand and have similar situations.
