what belongs to a personIn Spanish you will use the preposition “de”,
possessive adjectives and the verb “ser”. Example: Ella es la hija de Juan/ Es su hija.
(She is the daughter of Juan/ She is his daughter.)
Using “de”When “de” is used in this way it means “of”To format this statement use the following
steps:1st: The item or person owned2nd: the word “de”3rd: End with the person that owns the itemExample: El padre de mi madre- The father of
my mother.
Using “ser”Ser= to beYou can use the verb ser to express
possession as well. You can use them with “de” or with possessive adjectives.
