Type your text. Highlight your text to make changes.

Go to the Format/Text Menu

Change: • Font • Font Size (use up/down arrows or type in

number and hit return) • Font Color (click on multi-colored circle for

menu - close menu when done) • B, I, U (bold, italics, underline) • Alignment (left, center, right, up, middle,

down • Spacing (Single Space/Double Space • Bullets

• Use left and right arrows to choose the color of your shape.

• Click once on a shape to pick it. • Go to the Format/Arrange Menu -

Under Text Wrap, select None.

Look out for green circles - click and drag them to adjust the shape. Drag handles to change the size of the shape.

Arrange shapes and text boxes in the Format/Arrange menu (or Arrange on the top of the screen) • Back - Sends object to the very back • Front - Sends object to the very front • Backward - Sends object one step back • Forward - Sends object one step up

object • Group/Ungroup - lock 2 or more

objects together • Unite, Intersect, Subtract,

Exclude - must have at least two objects selected to use

Format/Style Menu: Fill - changes the color of the shape. • No Fill - clear • Color Fill - 1 solid color • Gradient Fill - blends 1 color

into another color • Advanced Gradient Fill -

blends multiple colors • Image Fill - fills the shape with

an image • Advanced Image Fill - fills the

shape with an image and gives it a color tint

Format/Style Menu: Border - makes a border around the shape • Line or Picture Frame

Pages (Page Layout)Format/Style Menu: • Reflection - check to make a

reflection - use slider bar to adjust.

• Opacity - (transparency) - use slider bar to adjust.

Tips: Making a background for your sign: • When you are completely done with your sign, add the

background. • To make a background, use the square shape tool and make

it the size of the entire document by dragging the handles. • Adjust the color/fill to how you want it. • Use Arrange to send the shape to the Back.

Aligning your objects: • In the Format/Text menu, use the alignment tools to align

inside text boxes. • Use the yellow alignment guides to help align objects on the

page (just move the objects around - they will appear). • Use the align box in the Format/Arrange menu to align

objects also.
