FOREWORD Dear Readers... A word of caution to you lucky readers... Every 5-7 years an innocent looking book comes along and changes everything. When Bradford originally shared this with me I hit the floor, and I believe you will too. This book systematically proves that your destiny is on Amazon and it’s closer than you think. I eat, sleep, and dream about Amazon product launches. It’s not just how I earn a living, it’s my passion. Bradford began what became this book as a small report he wrote for himself and only four other people – family members he had introduced to the business of making money on Amazon. The purpose of the report was to keep himself and his family members motivated and excited about their Amazon businesses. When they ran into the inevitable obstacles and frustrations that come along with building any business from scratch with no experience, they could always come back to the report. Pro Forma is a Latin term meaning “for the sake of form.” In the financial world, it describes a method of calculating financial results in order to emphasize either current or projected figures.

In a few moments I’ll show you how I can help you in that area too. But that is NOT the purpose of this book. You see, none of that means anything if you don’t have the MOTIVATION to do it, a real reason to succeed in this business, and MOST importantly, sincerely BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT. All things considered, starting from scratch, I have never seen a better, home-based business model than selling products on Amazon.

Just one of the many reason for this is that you get to “piggy back” on...

2. Amazon’s impeccable reputation for customer satisfaction;

3. Amazon’s data base of millions of customers and millions of credit

cards on file; ...and it all happens seamlessly when you are an Amazon Seller. When you sell on Amazon you form a powerful, informal “partnership” with one of the most successful online companies on the planet. Amazon did $74.4 billion in revenue in 2013. There’s no reason you can’t tap into that success, contribute with your products to sell on their platform, and get your portion of the profits. I’m not saying building a hugely successful business on Amazon is easy. In the beginning it may seem difficult, but that’s only because you have never done anything like this. Although, in my experience, it’s WAY easier than every other business venture I’ve been involved with over the years. If you’ve ever sold anything on eBay, you’ll discover that selling on Amazon is also WAY easier. Nothing that can make this kind of money is going to seem easy if you’ve never done anything like it before. But I assure you it DOES get easier once you’ve gone through the process of getting a product for sale on Amazon. Then repeating the process gets easier and easier every time you do it.

Of course you can expect hurdles, obstacles and challenges along the way. Remember, this is a book about BELIEVING YOU CAN DO IT!!! Okay, let’s start with a little explanation about selling on Amazon for those of you who are not familiar with it at all.

Selling Products on Amazon – the Basics

Selling products on Amazon is really very simple. As I mentioned a moment ago, if you’ve ever sold anything on eBay, you will find Amazon WAY easier. While there are many differences in how the two operate, the significant difference is that eBay is an auction format and Amazon is a retailing format. You can learn the basics about how to sell on Amazon directly on the Amazon website. AFTER YOU’VE FINISHED THIS BOOK – simply type “Amazon” in your search bar or type Amazon.com in your browser and you’ll be taken to the Amazon Home Page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you’ll see a headline that says: “Make Money with Us”. Right below that, you will see a link you can click on that says: “Sell on Amazon.” Click on that headline and just about all the basics you need to know are outlined there. There’s also a search box at the top of the page where you can enter a term to find out more should you have additional questions. You can sell just about anything on Amazon.

They do have some restrictions and you can find out about those restrictions on the Amazon site. With some exceptions (and unlike eBay) the products you sell on Amazon must be new. Books and other media do not have to be new. These items can be sold in any condition. Amazon started out in 1994 strictly as an online book seller.

Finding Products to Sell on Amazon

You can find products to sell on Amazon literally anywhere. Professional sellers call the process of finding products to sell on Amazon – “sourcing.” You can source products in your local retail stores, outlet stores, thrift stores (yes, sometimes you can find brand new merchandise in thrift stores) and even garage sales. You can also purchase products online and find wholesalers who are willing to sell to you.

The “Arbitrage” Model of Sourcing Products to Sell on Amazon

I started my "selling on Amazon" business with the “Arbitrage” business model I’m about to describe. Basically, Arbitrage means buying a product in one marketplace at a low price and selling it in another marketplace for a higher price. With Arbitrage, you search for products in retail stores and outlets, libraries (for books), thrift stores, garage sales, and yes, even online.

Although it’s not my cup of tea, I know people who make money finding products on eBay or even Craig’s list that they can resell on Amazon for a profit! Once you find these products, you conduct your research to see how much they are currently selling for on Amazon. As a general rule, if the products you sourced are selling for at least three times the amount you’re paying for those product, they are excellent candidates to sell on Amazon where you will generally double your money. In other words, if you found a qualifying product that you could buy for $10 that is selling on Amazon for about $30, you could get back your original $10 investment and a profit of $10 after Amazon deducts all their fees. Now making ten bucks might not sound like a big deal to you. But let’s look at that small transaction under a microscope to see the real financial impact.

If you found a suitable product that you could buy for $10 that would sell on Amazon for $30, and it sold within 30 days, and you earned a $10 profit. Wow, you just made a 100% return (also known in the financial world as ROI – Return on Investment) on your money, right? Wrong! You see, ROI’s are usually calculated in terms of ANNUAL returns on your money, how much money your investment earned over 12 months. So if you just made 100% on your money in one month, and we multiply that times 12 months, in essence you have earned a…

1,200% annualized return on your money! …because you got your entire investment back in ONE month.

So let me ask you...

Arbitrage can be a good way to get started and an excellent way to learn HOW to sell successfully on Amazon, especially if you have limited capital to get started. It can actually be a lot of fun – kind of like a treasure hunt. When you source products that are selling well on Amazon that can earn you 3, 4 or more times your investment in those products, you have truly struck gold.

The “Private Label” Method of Sourcing Products to Sell on Amazon

“Private Label” is pretty much what the name implies. It means you are selling your own private brand of products. You can source these products from manufacturers and wholesalers who will put your private name label on these products before you offer them for sale on Amazon.

You can also have new products manufactured. Many sellers import their own private label products from China and other countries.

Two Distinctly Different Ways to Sell Your Products on Amazon

As a seller on Amazon you will choose to operate your business as a "Fulfilled by Merchant" (FBM) seller or a "Fulfilled by Amazon" (FBA) seller. In some cases you may choose to do both simultaneously. The titles are self-explanatory. "Fulfilled by Merchant" (FBM) means you, the merchant, will be shipping your orders to your buyers. "Fulfilled by Amazon" (FBA) means you send your products to an Amazon warehouse and Amazon will ship your products to your buyers for you. "Fulfilled by Merchant" is more akin to the way people sell on eBay (although Amazon is NOT an auction format). When you are an FBM seller, you create your product listings on Amazon, but you maintain possession of the products until they are sold. Then, when someone orders the product from Amazon as a direct result of your listing, Amazon processes the order and sends you a notice that you are to immediately ship the products to your customers. When you are a "Fulfilled by Amazon" (FBA) merchant, you also list your products on Amazon in the exact same way as the FBM merchant, but then, instead of keeping the products in your possession, you ship your products to Amazon warehouses and Amazon takes over from there. When a purchase of your FBA product is made, Amazon ships the products to your buyers.

They also take care of customer service, returns and refunds, and communicate with your buyers (by email) to make sure the buyers are satisfied in every way. The Amazon goal is to give the best buying experience possible to every buyer on every transaction, and they’re darn good at it. That’s why their reputation as an online retailer is second to none in the world. When you’re an FBA seller there's less work for you to do, but of course, there are more fees Amazon charges for all the services they provide for you. I can tell you from experience, the extra fees are worth it – period. The amount Amazon charges when we make sales on the Amazon platform pales in comparison to the value they add to your business. There are MANY advantages to being an FBA seller (which is the method I use exclusively, and highly recommend you do as well because of those advantages) but once again, explaining all of that here is not within the scope or purpose of this book. I’ve listed a few primary advantages below. You can learn more from many different training sources, courses, books and even directly from Amazon. You’ll learn about many of them in the newsletter emails you’ll be receiving shortly.

The advantages to Private Labeling over Arbitrage are overwhelming

1. You can completely eliminate your competition by having your own unique listing.

With Arbitrage there can be hundreds of sellers selling the same product under the one single Amazon product listing. This has the tendency to drive the prices lower and lower as the sellers compete for the “Buy Box,” until no seller can make a profit with that product.

NOTE: The “Buy Box” means you are the “featured” seller at the moment someone arrives at that product listing page. If the visitor/buyer clicks on the “Add to Cart” button, YOUR product is put into their “Shopping Cart,” NOT one of the other sellers selling the same product on that page.

When there are too many sellers competing and lowering their prices to beat each other, you could be stuck with inventory that you must sell at a loss or have the inventory returned to you – at your expense. Either way, you lose. When you are a Private Label seller, no one can sell your products, under your listing, unless you give them permission or they bought the products from you first (which means you already made a profit when they bought the products from you initially). With your exclusive Private Label Product listing YOU are ALWAYS in the Buy Box. When someone comes to your page, and clicks to buy your product, they are always buying from you only. If your products are exclusively yours, you can prohibit other sellers from selling under your exclusive listing. You can also request that Amazon back you up and have the other sellers removed from your listing.

2. When you have an exclusive Private Label listing you have

control of that listing. You have complete control over your product listing. You can change and test different prices at will in a just a few minutes with a few clicks at your Amazon Seller Central page (where you control your entire Amazon business). Because you “control” the listing that you created, you can make changes to your listings any time you like and use additional marketing techniques to add more value to your product, which also gives you more opportunities to raise your prices. If you are using the Arbitrage business model and you source a product that is already being sold on Amazon, you are usually listed with all the other sellers of the same product, and if all your factors are right, you will rotate in and out of the Buy Box with other sellers. Also, even though you’re selling your product under the original listing that was created by someone else, whoever created the original listing has the major control of the listing, especially when it comes to the title. If you didn’t create the listing originally, you have no power to change (improve) it. But if you DID create the listing originally, you can make changes at any time, including the title (main headline), allowing you to test which headlines work best.

3. As a Private Label product seller not only can you maintain your price, you can often raise your price over your nearest competition!

You can add exclusive value to your listing in many ways (including simply making a better listing). Without direct competition, you can test your prices to find the optimal selling price.

4. LESS WORK!

Private labeling your products can be FAR LESS work than sourcing products with the Arbitrage method. Sometimes there’s more additional work initially as you source and create you private label products, but once you have completed those tasks and have your products selling successfully on Amazon, you can practically set your business on auto-pilot. Generally, with the Arbitrage method, you are physically sourcing products locally or online (almost every day if you want to earn larger Amazon checks). Then you are labeling each item, packaging them according to Amazon specifications, putting them in boxes and shipping them to Amazon Fulfillment Centers (warehouses). For the most part, Arbitrage is more of a “job” than a business. But when you Private Label your products you can often have your supplier ship them direct to the Amazon warehouse for you. You may never need to touch the actual products. Once you have this relationship established with your supplier, the extent of your physical work can be reduced to sending them an email order. You can completely replenish your inventory with a phone call or an email. When you no longer have to touch a single product you sell, you will have the satisfaction that you finally have a real business, not a job or a hobby. This benefit/feature is what will allow you to “manage” your successful business not “work” in your business. This is how you can eventually run a multi-million dollar business “working” only a few hours a week.

5. You have much more control over the quantities of products you’ll be selling.

When you Private Label you will be dealing with a wholesale supplier or manufacturer and can control the amounts of product you want to order.

With Arbitrage you can also deal with wholesalers. But if you’re doing “retail” Arbitrage where you are buying your products right off the shelves at your local stores, you will often be at the mercy of the quantities they have in stock, which can be very limited (sometimes only one).

6. You can build a business you can sell if you so desire. As I said, Arbitrage is more of a job, which is why it’s not a bad place to get started. But you can’t sell a job when you’re ready to move on to something else. I’m not knocking the Arbitrage business model. Arbitrage can be a superb part-time activity to help you make money on Amazon. I know of many people who make a great side income on Amazon with the Arbitrage method. I know of a lot of people who make a great part-time income just selling used books they find in garage sales or at library sales. As I said earlier, I used the Arbitrage method when I began my Amazon business. I learned the basics and how to navigate my Amazon Seller Central page to run my business. The Amazon Seller Central page is the heart of your Amazon business and it’s so robust with features to help you run your business you’ll be amazed. For many newbies, the Arbitrage method is a natural starting point. Remember, Arbitrage is a method of sourcing your products. You can still sell those products using Amazon FBA where Amazon ships your products to your customers and does the bulk of the sales and customer service. Whether you use Arbitrage or Private Labeling, the main point with your new Amazon business is that at least you’re working for yourself, not someone else.

I know a few people who make $100,000 per year doing Arbitrage, but I don’t personally know of anyone making $100,000 per month doing Arbitrage. But I DO know people who make $100,000 per month Private Labeling the products they sell on Amazon and with less work once their product listings are active on Amazon. Do either method well and the point will come where you can “fire” your boss because you’re making way more money. When that point comes simply tell your boss, “I can no longer afford to work here anymore!” and it will be an honest statement.

Building your own enormously successful business on Amazon is in many ways like the game of Baseball

Business is a game of numbers. Just as baseball is a game of how many runs you have COMPARED to your competitor in each game. Those are the “numbers” of the game of baseball. While it’s fantastic (and definitely possible) for you to hit a “home run” with your first product (a best-selling or near best-selling product), DON’T get discouraged if you don’t. You can make a great deal of money with products that never get near a best-selling status. A long-term successful Amazon business is won with many “base hit” actions including (in no particular order of importance because they’re ALL important):

1. Research to find the right products to sell.

While it’s great if it’s a product you are personally interested in, in the big picture it really doesn’t matter that much.

It’s not just about sourcing. It’s about sourcing products that SELL! If you have an interest in that product line, that’s a bonus for you.

2. Additional marketing and advertising to drive more traffic (interested

buyers) to your listings.

Amazon helps with the marketing they do on their end to attract buyers to the Amazon website, but there’s plenty more you can do to send more traffic to your product listings too. I’m always looking for ways to improve my listings and drive more traffic to those listings. 3. Great listings with (partial list)…

your product when you tell them exactly what they must do next. The more obstacles you can remove in the buying process, the better.

4. Plentiful, positive product reviews.

There are easy ways to get those great reviews (provided you have a great product). Raving reviews and plenty of them is generally considered one, if not THE best way to get Amazon to promote your products over your competitor’s and boost your sales.

5. Great customer support.

This should go without saying. You’re building an ongoing business and nothing does that better than establishing a solid relationship with your customers. “Over-the-top” customer support and relationships with your customers are invaluable to every business, online or offline.

The key is to “over deliver” on service and support. Bend over backwards to let your customers know you care and they will reward you with repeat business and glowing reviews. When things go wrong, do everything in your power to make them right. Do the things other sellers neglect to do or do poorly and your base hits will add up to many, many runs, winning those “games” against your competition. And once in a while you may hit a Home Run with a high-selling product and even a Grand Slam Home Run with a best-selling product in your category. Of course, it’s ideal if you have a high profit margin and a best-selling product, but it’s NOT a requirement for you to have a successful, highly profitable business making you all the money you want, as you’re about to learn in this book.

The main thing is to get your products on Amazon and do all the additional marketing you can to move your products up to best-selling status. The key to massive success selling on Amazon, and the “secret” to your products selling like hot cakes, can be summed up in this famous quote.

Why is Wal-Mart the largest retailer in the world? Because they help more people get what they want than any other company in the world. You want to uncover, discover and/or create products that serve people’s needs, desires and passions. You’re looking to serve a hungry crowd who just can’t get enough to satisfy their desires. Then you offer the solutions to their problems or the objects of their desires and passions. Like any real business, your Amazon earnings will be in direct proportion to the extent that you are successful in serving others. A low quality product that no one really wants to begin with, will not make you money. In fact it can cause you to lose money so don’t even think about it. A great, quality product that everyone wants – just one single great quality product in high demand – can make you a small fortune.

An Important Warning about Sourcing Your Products that can seriously delay your success. Be careful not to fall into the trap so many newbies tend to experience. They spend all their time looking for the ONE ideal, potentially best-selling product and profit margin, to the point where they delay or never get a product up for sale on Amazon.

For this simplified example, I’m going to assume the total average income taxes on your earnings is about 30%. In other words, for every dollar you earn, Uncle Sam and other taxing agencies, will get about 30 cents. It will vary with your personal circumstances of course, but for these examples, that’s the figure I’m going to use. Many business opportunities quote big numbers like gross sales, or net sales, or gross income to you before taxes. But the only real income to you is money you can spend – what’s left over after all your obligations are met – what’s left over for you to actually spend any way you choose. So for my examples I’m going to assume that you keep 70% of every dollar you make after your expenses. This means you have to EARN $1,430 per day GROSS to NET $1,000 per day. Okay, here we go: This is a real-life example of an average size and weight product that, at the time of this writing, was selling for $35 on Amazon. The product is a: Thermos Novelty Lunch Kit, Scooby Doo and the Mystery Machine and Rubbermaid Lunch Blox Sandwich Kit. ASIN: B00M8LEJ4W Product Dimensions: 9.8 x 8 x 5.3 inches Shipping Weight: 1.2 pounds. For this example, we’re going to assume your total cost to source this product and get it to Amazon for FBA is $10.00. When you run this product through the Amazon Revenue Calculator (a powerful feature built into the Amazon Seller Central page where you run your entire business) you see that your net, after Amazon takes their cut of the $35.00 sale, is $26.27. Subtracting your $10.00 investment to source the product from $26.27, you would net $16.27 before taxes.

Remember, as a rule of thumb, when sourcing products to sell on Amazon, you want to find products with at least a 3X profit margin. In other words, just like the example I gave earlier, if you’re buying products for $10, you want to be able to sell that product on Amazon for at least $30. More specifically, you’re looking to double your money on every product I sell. If you’re paying $10 for your product, you want to make your initial investment back and an additional $10 profit. In this example, you’re making $16.27 back for every $10 you’re spending so it fits the criteria perfectly.

Here’s the breakdown for our example:

Product Price – $35

SPECIAL NOTE: When looking for products to sell and choosing the price you’ll be selling your product for, $35 or more is a magical number. That’s the minimum order amount needed for non-Amazon Prime buyers to get FREE 2-Day Shipping on their order. Amazon Prime members can get FREE 2-Day Shipping without spending $35 because they pay a yearly fee to be an Amazon Prime member. Studies have shown that buyers will pay higher prices for their purchases if they are offered Free Shipping.

Net Profit Per Item Sold – $16.27

Number of sales needed per day to net $1,000 income – 88

Total Gross Daily Product Sales – (88 x $35) – $3,080

Note: At $1,002 PER DAY you would be making more money PER DAY than the vast majority of people in America make per week!

I like to use the acronym “AMM” because it’s close to “ATM” and that’s exactly how I look at our AMMs. I see them as “money machines” we can build and withdraw money from just like an ATM, with two major differences:

1. Money is put into our AMMs by other people. These are the profits from the sale of our products!

2. We can build as many AMMs as we want!

Because of the incredible Amazon FBA selling platform, where they take care of most of the “work,” you have created something that works for you instead of you working for a living ( trading hours for dollars). If you’ve never done that before, your life is about to change in ways you never imagined.

Here’s how Amazon pays you and fills your AMM

When your products sell on Amazon, Amazon takes their portion out and puts the balance in your Amazon account. This amount in this account paid out to you once every two weeks. Essentially, that’s when they’re putting money into your AMM. However, this amount you receive is NOT just your profits. The amount they’re putting into your account is the TOTAL of the selling price, minus the Amazon expenses. To explain this better, let’s use the numbers from our example. The product sold for $35, and Amazon takes their total fees out before the money is sent to your account. In this case, the Amazon fees are $8.73. The amount going into your account then would be the difference – $26.27 ($35 selling price minus $8.73 in Amazon fees). The amount on your check for this sale (going into your AMM) would be that $26.27. But that is NOT entirely your profit.

Within that amount going into your AMM is the $10 you used to buy the product originally. So your NET PROFIT is $16.27 on each sale of this product. To put it another way, when your products are sold, you’re getting your net profit AND your original investment paid back to you into your AMM. In other words, you’re getting your initial product investment returned to you, to be used to replenish your inventory with more of these products, with every payment Amazon puts into your account. I belabored this explanation because it’s the only way to really show you…

How well this AMM performed

Assuming your product sold within 30 days you’re making 162% monthly gross ROI (Return on Investment) on your money ($10 spent for product and $16.27 made in profit). If you recall, you have to multiply your monthly return times 12 months to calculate your ANNUAL ROI. Using this example your ANNUALIZED ROI would be 162% times 12 or…

1,944%! You not only made that profit, you also got your original $10 investment back to repeat the process. Not a single penny of additional capital needs be invested for product to repeat the process countless times. To look at it another way, because you get your inventory cost returned in every sale, if you’re selling 88 of these products every day, in essence, this model created… A self-perpetuating NET annual income of $360,720 on an initial investment of only $26,400!

How many other business models do you know that can duplicate this success? I hope your motivation level just took a huge leap with this explanation. I invite you to compare this “Selling on Amazon” business model to ANY other business model (franchise, Network Marketing, building your own business from scratch, four years or more of continuing education, etc.) And don’t let the $26,400 spent on inventory discourage you. You do not have to put up all that money initially. You can start with much smaller amounts of capital, re-invest your profits, and build up as you go along. And remember, this is with only ONE successful product! I encourage you to “play with the numbers” yourself, to create your own pro formas, on all the examples throughout this book. For example, if you decrease your product cost and/or increase your price or profit margin, you would need even less items sold each day to earn $1,000 in clear profit. The value of selling higher priced products and reducing your inventory expenses as much as possible should be evident to you. Both actions will affect your bottom line – your profits. Another point to consider is; as your business grows and you have more capital to invest, the cost of your products usually decreases by simply placing larger orders for your product from your supplier or manufacturer.

I can tell you that it's not uncommon for a best-selling or near best-selling product in any given category to sell more than 200 items per day (sometimes WAY more). There's no secret to it. You need only learn the listing and marketing techniques available to you RIGHT NOW, to create, optimize and promote your product listings on Amazon. Using the same example I’ve given you, if you worked to get your product selling even better, with only 200 sales per day. . . You would be earning – after taxes... OVER $2,278 Per Day – $97,620 Monthly – $831,470 Annually! And once again, that’s with only ONE PRODUCT! Are you excited and motivated yet? Does this all sound too good to be true? All I can say is, “the numbers don’t lie.” But if you still can’t comprehend these possibilities, let me show you something more believable that you can wrap your mind around. Fail Your Way to Success

To that, I ask you, have you ever considered that you might be able to “fail” (by the standard set in the above sample) yourself to success? As I’ve said from the beginning, the real “secret” is to get you to believe you CAN do this, and is the very purpose of this book. So if you’re still skeptical, let me give you something you CAN realistically believe is possible as the first step. It’s no different than the way you learned to be proficient in your current work. In your current or past professions, once you had success in each process or task you had to learn, you gained skills which gave you the confidence to take the next step and a strong belief that you could do it. Eventually, these tasks become “second nature” to you. Your Amazon FBA business/process/system is exactly that – a business with a system and processes that can be learned step-by-step and repeated over and over again to build all the AMMs you want. This repetitive process is what allows you to “scale” your business up to any level of sales and income you like! It’s simply a matter of repeating the process as many times as you want. With small successes, it becomes easier each time because the process is never any different. The only thing that changes is the quantities as you grow larger. You’re only “scaling up” what you already know how to do and using capital you’ve earned from your previous successes. So let’s start small. Let’s say you’re only able to find a product that gives you a $5 profit with each item sold – that’s less than a third of the profit in my example. And let’s say the product is nowhere near a best seller (yet). You’re only selling 20 items per day, not 88 like in my example. You would only be making $70 per day after taxes.

Obviously it’s a lot easier to find a product that makes you only $5 per sale and is not a hot seller. Well guess what. If you can do it once, you can and do it again approximately 15 more times and you have your $1,000 per day, after-tax income! Now we’ve taken the $1,000 per day goal and broken it down into little bite-sized, believable pieces (base hits). $70 per day in clear profit doesn’t sound like much does it? But let’s take a look at the big picture. Once you’ve completed this process and let Amazon take over and do most of the work for you, you have just created a cash flow of $2,100 per month, an extra $25,550 per year after-tax income for yourself ($70 x 365)! Would that extra cash improve your financial picture? Of course it would. You have an additional $25,550 coming in each year, over and above your current income, that you didn’t have before you began your Amazon business. And by my first example, you failed miserably!

Build another identical AMM and you’re at $140 after-tax in your pocket every day – a $51,100 annual after-tax cash flow.

Build another identical AMM and you’re at an extra $210 after-tax in your pocket every day – a $76,650 annual after-tax cash flow.

According to CNNMoney you’ve just FAR surpassed the average yearly Income of every person in America ($53,891 as of August 20, 2014).

Build only 15 AMMs TOTAL, that do at least as well, and you’re making $1,000 per day after taxes. And you did it with products that make you only $5 per sale and only 20 sales per day!

I hope I just nudged your believability level up a few more notches! What if it takes two years to accomplish? What if it takes three years? The better question is, what’s the alternative to NOT doing this? So what if your first AMM was not the “home run” like my first example. Do you see how repeated “base hits” can get you to some serious, life-changing income?

Business is all about the numbers

As with any business system, once you have a formula that works, you need only repeat the process over and over as many times as you like to reach your goal. The point is, you can play with ANY combination of profit margins and number of sales per day, and once the combined TOTAL hits $1,430 per day, you’re netting $1,000 per day in after-tax cash in your pocket and have created a Million Dollar Per Year Business (gross sales). Remember, this is a process, a system you can learn, and each time you implement it, with your experience, you get better and better at. Yep, it gets easier with each one! Sure there’s a lot of work to build a successful business and income like I’ve described in this book. But once you’ve got everything in place, and the cash is rolling in smoothly filling your AMMs, you can outsource most of the tasks that need to be done so you only have to work at your business PART-TIME to accomplish any of these goals!

When your product gets into a best-selling or near best-selling status, people start to talk about your product and tell others about your great product. When these people start asking at their favorite retailers if they carry your product, the smart stores pay attention. Imagine your product is selling so well on Amazon that the major retailers like Walmart, Target, Kohl’s etc. start knocking on your door to get your products in their stores! Yes, it DOES happen. And this would be income ON TOP of your Amazon business income because your products are still selling on Amazon while they’re being sold in the major retail stores! One of the cool things about having your products in stores is; you can’t imagine how many people now “price shop” in stores with free apps on their smart phone and then go to buy your products at Amazon! One of the most popular phone apps people use to do this is the free Amazon smartphone app. And this one is EXTRA special because when someone scans in the product they’re looking at in the store with that app, it takes them directly to your listing page and they can order your product instantly, right while they’re looking at it in the store! It’s done all day long, every day. Also, because retail store prices are usually higher than Amazon prices, effectively these stores are advertising your product for you. Since this is YOUR Private Label product, you win no matter where someone choose to buy it since the stores had to buy it from you first! Isn’t technology amazing? This happens quite frequently with the “As Seen on TV” products you see advertised on late night TV.

This is one of the ways companies get there products in the major retailers and chain stores. When the distributor of the products can document their TV advertising sales, and when people start asking the stores if they carry this hot item, the stores want to get the products in their stores, and even advertise them. In this online age, a best-seller on Amazon is similar to that. Millions of people learn about your product selling on Amazon and the store chains desperately want to carry your product/s too! This brings me to another little-known “secret.”

Amazon is one of the smartest businesses I’ve ever encountered

They are MASTERS of information and watch every aspect of their business, especially their “numbers,” constantly. Seriously, they update their best-selling product list hourly and change the sales rankings on the products (indicating relatively how well any given product is selling) CONTINUOUSLY! It’s not uncommon when Amazon sees a product hit best-selling status on their site, for them to contact the seller to see if they can buy their products directly, making the seller one of their preferred vendors! I know of people who have been personally invited to the Amazon offices to have that conversation. It’s kind of the “Holy Grail” for Amazon Sellers. Okay, so I’ve given you illustrations showing you how successful you can be doing LESS than what I describe in my initial example. Now, for some REAL inspiration, let’s look at what would happen if you do BETTER than my main example.

So how do you become a Cash Millionaire in 3 Simple Steps? Drum roll please…. Repeat this initial model and create 2 more AMMs! You saw that coming, right? Once you’ve accomplished the $1,000 per day, after-tax income – duplicate the process 2 more times – create 2 more AMMs – and you have $1,095,000 in after-tax cash! (3 x $360,720)! Think about it this way; if your were able to find only three products that all fit closely to my original illustration, you’ve accomplished this amazing feat with only three products and now… You’re a CASH millionaire selling only THREE successful products on Amazon! There are many people who can legitimately claim to be millionaires based on their assets, their net worth, but have very little spendable, liquid income. I’m talking about $1,095,000 per year in spendable cash to do with as you please. You’re probably thinking this has to be much harder. That’s what the stories in our head from our “trading hours for dollars” past experience will tell us. “If I want to make three times the money I’m currently making, I have to work three times as hard! That’s just common sense.” When it comes to creating AMMs, in actuality it’s quite the opposite. As I mentioned numerous times, this business model is a duplicatable process and once you’ve done the process the first time, the second time becomes even easier since you’ve gained the experience of HOW to do it.

And the third time it gets even easier because you have even more experience. The key is to automate the process so you have little physical work to do once your AMMs have been created. As long as we’re at it, let’s go crazy!

I don’t want to scare you too much, but…

Anything is possible once you know how to create profitable AMMs like the one I describe in the example. I just showed you how it’s possible to earn $1,095,000 per year in after-tax income with only three products – three successful AMMs. I’ve emphasized how the process gets easier each time you do it. Of course, you can create less profitable AMMs but you can just as easily create MORE profitable AMMs. In fact, because you learn more every time you create a new AMM, you’re more likely to make the next one more profitable from your experience. Let’s go really nuts with a little quiz to help you grasp the magnitude of what I just demonstrated to you. Using our original example as the model for your AMM… Q. What is your daily, after-tax income with only 5 AMMs? A. $5,000 per day – just over $1.8 million dollars annually. Q. What is your daily, after-tax income with only 10 AMMs? A. $10,000 per day – just over $3.6 million dollars annually. Of course that sound outrageous. Is it possible? Of course, anything is possible.

Break it down to more bite-sized goals. Let’s say you create only one AMM per year. Using the same model as in my example, it would take you ten years to get to a $3.6 million dollar annual income. Do you think it would be worth it? Stupid question, right? If you created only two AMMs per year, it would take only five years to get to a $3.6 million dollar annual income. Build only three AMMs per year, one every four months and you would be there in just over 3 years. Now let’s talk some “high finance!”

Where to find all the money you’ll ever need to build as many AMMs as you want – after your first one

This is the last piece you need to know in the big AMM picture – to learn how to build unlimited AMMs without adding additional capital of your own. Let’s recap and do a quick overview of creating your first AMM using the figures from my example. You’ve found a product you can sell on Amazon for $35 on Amazon that you can purchase for $10. You send your products to Amazon to be sold with the FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) option. Your gross profit on every sale is $16.27 after Amazon deducts their fees. You start with a quantity you can comfortably afford. You learn and do everything you can to promote your product so it starts selling more and more every day.

Your product starts selling well, and as you receive your payments from Amazon every two weeks, you re-invest your money to buy more product to replenish your inventory. Eventually, you’re selling at least 88 of these products, every day. You’re now earning $1,002 per day in after-tax profits – $30,060 monthly. In your Amazon payments, you also have the money to replenish your inventory every month (which at this point has grown to $26,400 per month). You have now created your first AMM and, in essence, have a self-perpetuating AMM where you do not have to put another penny of your own money into more product each month. You could stop right there and live happily ever after, but why would you? It’s my guess that once you’ve created your first successful AMM, you’ll more excited than ever and want to get right to creating your next successful AMM. But where are you going to get the money you need to duplicate the process? You’re going to use a process I call…

“Skip-a-Month” to Unlimited AMMs!

In our example you saw that it takes $26,400 per month to replenish your inventory every month, which comes back to you, into your AMM, as the products sell. You’ll re-invest that $26,400 every month to purchase more product to replenish your inventory, which keeps your first AMM purring along, giving you consistent, after-tax profits every day of $1,002 ($30,060 monthly), without you having to invest any additional money out of your pocket. You can spend our profits any way you like. You’ve already put aside the part that you have to pay in income taxes.

If you’re happy with an after-tax annual income of $360,720 you can stop right there – or – you might like to duplicate what you’ve just accomplished to go forward and create more AMMs. As I described a few moments ago, if you create only one more identical one, you would double your income to $721,440 yearly Create a total of five identical AMMs and you’re at just over $1.8 million dollars annually. And ten can get you to just over $3.6 million dollars annually. So where are you going to get all the money to create all these new AMMs? SURPRISE! YOU ALREADY HAVE IT! With your first AMM you’re getting $30,060 in after-tax profits every month, over and above the money you spent on product, which is put back into more product to perpetuate the AMM. Instead of spending that $30,060 in after-tax profits, why not use that money to create your next AMM? When you take your $30,060 profit and choose to re-invest it rather than spend it, you have $26,400 to buy more product for your next identical AMM and $3,660 for your expenses to source the product and promote the product! All you have to do is skip taking your profits out from your first AMM – for only one month – and go build the next one with those profits. And here’s the REALLY cool part, once you have two AMMs cranking our consistent profits, you’ll have $60,120 in after-tax profits coming in. This will allow you to start take out $30,060 to spend every month if you like AND you can use the other $30,060 to build a new AMM every month too! Choose your own pace and decide how much you want to take out for personal income and how much you want to re-invest in building more AMMs.

This is your business. You have complete control. For many of you, this will be perhaps the first time in your life that you’re in control of your income instead of being at the mercy of your income. This is what a successful Amazon business and building AMMs can do for you. The less you take out in early profits, and re-invest to build new AMMs, the faster your business and profits can grow to incredible amounts. When you “skip-a-month” of taking profits out of your business and instead re-invest them in your business – only one time – you can literally duplicate the process and build as many AMMs as you like without ever adding more “out-of-pocket” capital than your original investment. You’re building ALL your future AMMs with profits earned from your first AMM! This is how real businesses build their businesses without having to borrow money. Now that you know all the pieces to the AMM puzzle…

Let’s come back down to earth

When you think about it, on your way to $1,000 per day, you WILL first have to make $100 per day. It has to happen that way even if you slide past that $100 per day in an instant as your products start selling. If you’ve never done anything like this before, it can seem daunting. Keep in mind, you’re learning a new skill that will serve you well for the rest of your life. Now this may come as a surprise to you after all the grandiose examples I’ve given you, but...

I recommend that you do NOT make your goal $1,000 per day!

For most people who have never built an AMM, even $1,000 per day can seem overwhelming and unbelievable. If making $1,000 or more per day in your Amazon business creating AMMs is still unbelievable to you, try looking at it this way: From what I’ve shown you, I’m confident that you now believe you can make at least $100 per day with your Amazon business. As I said, one of the great things about this business is that it is a purely duplicatable method/ process/system. In other words, once you’ve built your first AMM making you $100 per day, you need only do the same thing again. Creating $100 per day AMMs would obviously seem easier than creating $1,000 per day AMMs. Surprisingly, it’s not. There’s no logic to that since the process is the same. What affects it is the number of products selling each day and your profit margin. But the process to build a $100 per day AMM or a $1,000 per day AMM is identical. This is why I say that if you can believe and build your first $100 per day AMM you absolutely can build your second one and many more after that. The point I’m making is to start with a believable goal so you won’t get discouraged. Using the baseball analogy again, the main thing is to “keep swinging.” Sometimes you’ll swing and miss but eventually you will hit the ball and get to first base.

And as long as you keep swinging, you will inevitably hit some doubles, triples, home runs and grand slam homeruns. Here’s the way I look at it: Singles, hits that get you to “first base,” are AMMs that are making you $100 per day, after taxes. Doubles, hits that get you to “second base,” are AMMs that are making you $200 per day, after taxes. Triples, hits that get you to “third base,” are AMMs that are making you $300 per day, after taxes. “Home runs,” are AMMs that are making you $1,000 per day, after taxes, like the one in my example. And “Grand Slam Home Runs,” are AMMs that are making you MORE than $1,000 per day, after taxes. All you have to do is keep swinging and learn to adjust your swing to the many pitches (obstacles and opportunities) that come at you. Just as in baseball, it’s getting on base that wins games. The SURE way to fail is to give up, to stop playing the game, to stop swinging. Trust me, when you look back at what you’ve gone through to hit that first $100 per day goal you’ll be amazed at what you’ve learned. But more importantly, you will ABSOLUTELY know you can do it again. Do it only nine more times and you’re at $1,000 per day after-taxes in your pocket! Once you’ve had your “Single – first base hit,” the sky’s the limit for you because you know you can “hit the ball” and get on base safely slugger! And every once in a while you can “steal second base” as your base hits grow into a doubles!

And better yet, imagine your AMM is on “third base” and steals home, sliding in safely! Keep in mind, you can earn an incredible income with nothing but base hits. That’s all it takes to go on to AMM greatness, however…

Your goal MUST be believable, not wishful thinking, for you to turn it into a reality

Therefore, I recommend you break your goal down to believable $100 a day increments (base hits). Then, once you’ve achieved that goal, you work towards $200 per day and then $300 per day, and so one. Starting right now, from ground zero, you’re only 10 easy (easier each time) steps away from the $1,000 per day. You might do it with one product as you market that product and the sales continue to grow. Or you might do it with 10 AMMs each earning you $100 after taxes, or any combination of products where the sales earn you $1,000 per day in after-tax income. Another great thing about Amazon is that it doesn’t cost you any more to have one AMM filled with products for Amazon to sell or one thousand AMMs. You only pay them their fees when your products sell. Your only fixed cost is $40 per month to be an Amazon Professional Seller no matter how many listings (AMMs) you have. They even give you the first month free, so how cool is that? You pay nothing while you learn how to sell on their system. So let’s make those “Base Hit” bite-sized, stepping stones separate goals of $100 per day after-tax cash in your pocket.

As you make these “Base Hits” and earn those income levels, you are building that rock-solid foundation of belief that you can do this, and that’s 100% required for you to actually make it happen. To help you visualize your progress, I’ve created a simple little chart of goals, check-marks and rewards to record your successes. I suggest you print these pages out for ease of use. As you achieve each goal, put a check mark in the appropriate box and date it. Then write in how you’re going to celebrate and reward yourself and your family. So, let’s “fill in the blanks” and take you from $0 to Cash Millionaire, but before we do that, I want to give you my special “Secret Sauce” recipe.

The “Secret Sauce!”

There’s one other element that will supercharge your motivation and determination to succeed in this business (or any venture for that matter) and I call it the “Secret Sauce.” The one missing ingredient that will practically guarantee your success is for you to determine “WHY” you are doing this business. Once you know WHY you are doing this, there is no stopping you. Without knowing WHY, it’s easy to get off track, or just give up. So now, before we go any further, write down WHY you are doing this. Think hard on it and be very clear. It’s the high-octane jet fuel to your success.

In this book I’ve used “pro forma” projections to prove to you what is possible when you build successful “AZ Money Machines.” I invite you to “play with the numbers yourself – “If I did this, this is what the outcome would be.” This is what big companies have highly-paid people doing with spreadsheets constantly. They “plug in” various numbers to see how they play out over time with “x” amount of capital re-invested.

This is why I love having my own business, because it’s all about the numbers and I can play out any scenario of, “If I do this, this is what could happen.” The combinations are endless. You have so many options when you own your own business. You make the decisions and you can change them without a moment’s notice. Private Labelling your own products gives you much of that control. Using the pro forma model I’ve demonstrated what is possible if all things were perfect, and they rarely are. There are many factors and variables that come into building your Amazon business. Anything that can make you this kind of money is going to have unexpected surprises along the way. Sometimes you will find a product to sell easily. It will just fall into your lap while you’re out there looking. But sourcing and /or creating your own products will often take more time and money than you expect. The key is to accept these obstacles and embrace them as part of the natural process to building an income the likes of which you have never been able to comprehend before reading this book. In reality, while it gets easier each time you add a new product, creating another hot selling product takes time and effort, sometimes quite a bit of time and effort. Once you’ve built your AMMs, you can afford to pay people to do most of the work for you by “outsourcing” many of the tasks involved in building and running your business.

It’s really awesome when your business is sailing along almost effortlessly and you can devote the majority of your time to sourcing more product – or better yet – hire someone to do it for you! That’s my motto: “Less Work – More Money!” until you do no work and make more than you’ve ever made in your life.

Most people at this point would leave you with, “Good Luck!” I say, luck has nothing to do with it. Learn the skills you need, succeed on a small scale to prove to yourself that you can do it, and then take it to whatever level you wish. You just need to honestly believe you can, prove it to yourself with your actual successful experience, and repeat. That’s the whole, simple formula. I’ll leave you with this VERY important caveat.
