About The club began with one team in C grade in 1934 calling itself the Mag-
pies Hockey Club. They won their first premiership the very next year in
1935. Today there are 13 senior teams and 9 junior teams. Over the
years a dedicated group of players, officials and family members have
built the club into a very successful and competitive hockey club. The
club has won many premierships and produced many fine players and
umpires who have gone on to represent South Australia and Australia.
The Clubrooms and Ground at John Hart Reserve is arguably the best
Club facility in South Australia. The facility supports some 400+ mem-
bers with a clubrooms and water base synthetic surface.
The club participates in the Hockey Metro Competition conducted by
Hockey SA. We field teams in every grade and division and age group.
We cater for players of all ages and abilities.
The Club has a passion for success and regularly leads the competition
for the number of premierships each year.
Our Premier League Men have won 19 premierships—1967,
1968, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1981, 1983, 1991,
1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2005, 2006.
Our Premier League Women have won 11 premierships—1993, 1995,
1996, 1998, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009.
The Club has won both the Men’s and Women’s Premier League Finals
6 Times in 1993, 1995, 1998, 2002, 2005, 2006.

Our annual fees include all match and training fees –there is no more
to pay.
A 10% discount applies if paid by 31st March otherwise fees are pay-
able in full or in 3 equal instalments 30th April, 31st May & 30th June.
The Club also offers a number of rebates and incentives including a
family cap and rebates for coaches, managers, goalkeepers and repre-
sentative players. Please contact the Club Secretary to confirm your
eligibility.
