1. General Francisco Franco - Franco was a Spanish military leader and statesman who ruled as the dictat or of Spain from 1936 until his death.

2. Falange - This is the name assigned to several Spanish political movements and parties dating from the 1930s.

7. Lebensraum - The Nazis supported territorial expansionism to gain Lebensraum, as being a law of nature for all healthy and vigorous peoples of superior races to displace people of inferior races.

8. Appeasement - s a diplomatic policy of making political or material concessions to a dictatorial power (or powers) in order to avoid a threatened conflict. The term is most often applied to the foreign policy of the British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain towards Nazi Germany between 1937 and 1939.

9. Remilitarization of the Rhineland - The remilitarization of the Rhineland by the German Army took place on 7 March 1936 when German military forces entered the Rhineland. (This was significant because it broke the Treaty of Versailles.)

13. Munich Conference - The Munich Agreement was a settlement permitting Nazi Germany's annexation of Czechoslovakia's areas along the country's borders mainly inhabited by German speakers, for which a new territorial designation "Sudetenland" was coined.

14. The Nazi-Soviet Pact - Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union met and signed the Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggres sion Pact, which guaranteed that the two countries would not attack each other.

15. Blitzkrieg – This is a military term that is used for using all motorized vehicles such as tanks to airplanes, to rush the enemy lines at one time to break the defenses and move offensively more quickly.

16. Panzer - This is a German language word that means either tank or armour.

18. Phony War - The Phoney War was a phase early in World War II that was marked by a lack of major military operations by the Western Allies (the United Kingdom and France) against the German Reich.

21. Vichy France - the German victory in the Battle of France (July 1940) to the Allied liberation in August 1944.

22. Collaborators - The pursuit of Nazi collaborators refers to the post-World War II pursuit and apprehension of individuals who were not citizens of the Third Reich at the outbreak of World War II and collaborated with the Nazi regime during the war.

23. Battle of Britain - The Second World War air campaign waged by the German Air Force against the United Kingdom during the summer and autumn of 1940.

24. Operation Sea lion - Was Nazi Germany's plan to invade the United Kingdom during the Second World War following the Fall of France.
