The Pacific Institute of Hotel Management stands apart from other institutions of its kind on many counts. For instance, it is the only institute in Rajasthan which provides all-round hospitality education with an in-depth global focus. The course curriculum offered consists of subjects that reflect the concepts and trends in the international hospitality and tourism industry. Since we are witnessing rapid changes in the context of increasing globalization and multilateralism, an understanding of these international developments and a capacity to analyze and respond to such changes are some of the capabilities that are inculcated in the students.

We have also identified steps to ensure that the curriculum of the program is updated on a regular basis. This process includes in-depth external reviews of the course structure and details by eminent management education experts. Experienced professionals from reputed hotels within the country are invited to teach specific sessions and subjects. These strategies have helped in a continuous up-gradation of the syllabi reflecting the dynamic changes that this industry as well as hospitality education is being subjected to.

In the last few decades, new and emerging career options and their corresponding educational fields such as the Culinary Sciences, the Hospitality, Travel, Tourism and Aviation Management and so on have thrown new light on the way we look at vocational education. Keeping in mind the need for effective vocational training in these areas, the Government has also advocated privatization of education and encouraged Private Universities with good credentials.

The Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research (PAHER), Udaipur, which is the creation of the Pacific Education Society, is an all-encompassing monolith that runs numerous institutes and colleges imparting much-needed vocational education at the University level in the abovementioned fields. Its educational undergraduate and postgraduate programs are all approved by the appropriate technical bodies such as AICTE and so on. The Pacific Institute of Hotel Management is the latest addition to the Society's endeavors and it offers an AICTE-approved Four years Program - the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT), Three years Program - B.Sc. in Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition and Two years Diploma in Hotel Management. One year Trade Diploma in Front Office, One year Diploma in Housekeeping, One year Diploma in Food & Beverage Service and One year Diploma in Food Production.

The institute works closely with several professionals in the field who either offer their services as visiting faculty as well as support us with internships and training schedules for the students at their organizations and offices.

Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT), 4 years undergraduate degree program, divided over eight semesters.

B.Sc. in Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, 3 years undergraduate degree program.

Diploma in Hotel Management, 2 years program.

Trade Diploma in Food Production Operations, 1 year program with 6 months' industrial training.

Trade Diploma in Food & Beverage Service Operations, 1 year program with 6 months' industrial training.

Trade Diploma in Front Office Operations, 1 year program with 6 months' industrial training.

Trade Diploma in Housekeeping, 1 year program with 6 months' industrial training.

Total Number of Students:

There are 60 seats for the BHMCT Program, 60 seats for the B.Sc. Program and 30 seats in each of the Diploma Programs.

Students come from all over Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Haryana.

Eligibility for all Programs:

All candidates must have successfully cleared Class XII (10+2) senior secondary examinations at the school level from any recognized Central /State Board, with 45% and above marks in aggregate.

The institute is an affiliate of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH & LA), the trade association representing the $ 85.6 billion lodging industry in the United States.

The Educational Institute (EI) is the premier source for delivering quality hospitality education, training and professional certification that serves the needs of hospitality schools and industries worldwide. It certifies and validates competencies in conjunction with academia and industry experts for 36 positions in the hospitality industry.

It works closely with numerous hospitality and international and domestic government organizations to provide information to professional certification programs, customize existing EI training programs, develop new resources and participate in conferences that advances the cause for the hospitality industry.

North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, UK:

Located in the heart of London's academic community, the North Warwickshire & Hinckley College (NWHC) is an established private college that specializes in offering internat ional ly recognized business and IT qualifications to students from all over the world.

By developing associations and partnerships with world-renowned academic institutions, the College is able to provide students with the opportunity to study leading business and IT programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The college also offers an excellent degree foundation course, which is ideal for foreign students who are seeking to gain entry into universities in the United Kingdom. TMI Academy of Travel Tourism & Aviation Studies is a venture based on a joint association of the Travel Mate Group India. It is an established institute dedicated to the purpose of offering quality training and education in the fields of travel, tourism retail, IT, hospitality, soft skills and aviation.

The Academy offers specialized training programmes that are customized specifically to meet the training requirements of the booming travel and tourism industry. These programs are geared towards enabling individuals in the field of tourism and hospitality to excel in their professional roles, thereby contributing positively towards organizational efficiency and profitability.

The TMI Academy has also achieved the status of Authorized Training Centre from the globally recognized Airlines and Tourism apex bodies as, IATA/UFTAA, Montreal, Canada.

City & Guilds:

City & Guilds is one of the oldest international apex bodies that deal in affiliations with educational institutions with specialization in hospitality, tourism and airlines studies. They have accreditation award facilities to successful students.

Cornell University, USA:

The academic and research collaboration has been proposed by the University of Cornell in USA. A university with its wings spread in various fields of medical, business management, hotel & tourism management, etc. is a renowned and prestigious educational body of USA.

The faculty of hotel & tourism management has occupied a very prominent place in educational corporate world. The students passed out of Ithaca Hall Cornell always stood on prominent employment platform.

The collaboration offers from Cornell University, USA in various areas like PG studies and students exchange, progressive research in management science, will prove to be an extraordinary advantage to those hotel and tourism institutes by adorning a feather in their cap in India.

Mr. Antonio Gatto, Dean of Cornell University, who was on his first visit to India on good standards said “ If the tie -ups with good Hotels and Tourism and Management schools takes place, it would turn out to be advantageous for the management students as well as the public making it a win-win situation for everyone.”

Such collaboration would help the hotel management students and faculties to know the latest hotel business and culinary sciences, techniques and food technologies through clinical trails in future.

Most of the teaching and training in this field goes on in well-equipped laboratories rather than classrooms.

a. Basic Training Kitchen Lab/ Quantity Training Kitchen Lab/ Advance Training Kitchen Lab/ Demo Lab: These kitchen labs deal with the basic pre-preparation of ingredients, commodities, handling of equipments. It also helps in the preparation of other kitchens and acts as a liaison between them.

b. Training Restaurant with Bar and F&B Service Lab: The restaurant provides practical training in service as per the international benchmark. It also deals with different styles of service needed for specific cuisines and all types of beverage services expected as per national and international standards.

d. Front Office Lab: We have a well-designed front office lab equipped with the latest trends and technologies of the industry. Students are taught behavioral formats and psychology, as the front office is the first point of contact of the guest with the hotel. This lab is equipped with counters, telephones and other accessories.

e. Computer Lab: The well-equipped computer lab has all the internet applications. Students are extensively exposed to the use of standard computer software.

The institute has a rich library containing books on many subjects related to the hospitality and travel and tourism industry. The library also has a collection of many national and international journals, magazines and newspapers.

In this the installed programmes are on the computers with Internet connection, so that the students can easily approach to the reference of the given subjects.

The headphones and installed set-up of the software 'words worth' assist the students in increasing their communication skills as well as to promote their basic computer knowledge.

This lab consists of all the primary equipments (electrical & mechanical) with their set-up, so that the students can easily learn the first-aid maintenance on the appliance present in the world.

This room has projectors, screens and presentation desk to assist the students in taking workshops of the related hospitality topics, case studies and provide presentation on the related topics.
