The seven buildings that comprise the Administrative Facilities project are centrally located on the campus, marking its main entrance. They comprise of the Central Administration Building, Grand Mosque, Cultural Centre, Convocation Hall, Conference Centre, University Library, Visitors Centre.

Kuwait University Project Architectural Value

Project theme is the shades of knowledge. The pursuit of knowledge is an ephemeral path, always changing and opening up new perceptions. The light, lacy shading veils which envelope each building surrounding the Arrivals Garden create a similar ephemeral play of light and shadow as the sun follows its daily arc across the sky. The shading veils are carefully articulated to perform an important shading function, screening out harsh solar radiation and engendering a cooler microclimate zone around each building.

At the centre of the main Arrivals Garden axis is The Pearl a traditional symbol for beauty created from challenge, and a poignant metaphor for learning itself. The Pearl has an important place in Kuwaiti history drawing on the pearl diving

tradition in the Arabian Sea. Within The Pearl is the Convocation Hall, the point from which the Universitys students will be graduated.

1. The first building will include the Emergency Department, LDR Suite, OPD, Procedure Suites and inpatient units and supportive services like, Radiology, Laboratory, CSSD, Pharmacy and On-call area necessary for that building to function.

2. The second building is planned to host the full Physiotherapy Department, Surgical Suite, Extended Ventilation and Same Day Inpatient Units and CSSD. In addition, building houses 2 very large strategic stores.

The New Ibn Sina Hospital proposed site is located within the Al Sabah Speciality Medical Area, to the West of the existing Ibn Sina Hospital site. The Ibn Sina Hospital will serve as a tertiary speciality referral centre for both adult and paediatric patients for all Kuwait.

The proposed hospital will have approximately twice the inpatient and outpatient capacity of the current facility and will accommodate 500 inpatient beds. The hospital also comprises of Diagnostic and treatment facilities including a surgical department, laboratories, respiratory and physiotherapy space, and medical imaging (CT & MRI), nuclear medicine, gamma knife, PT scan and simulation facilities.

The Riyadh Metro is the largest project to take place in the city of Riyadh in the KSA. It consists of 6 modern railway systems supported with multi-level transport structures. The project aims to diversify the means of public transportation throughout the large city of Riyadh.

The project includes four main stations that intersect with the major train tracks. They include public parking, ticket outlets, shops and customer service offices attracting visitors to the new dynamic shopping experience.

Paces services include relocation of the utilities for Line 3, the longest of the 6 lines. The length of the line is approximately 41.2 km and it features 20 stations, in addition to 2 transfer stations.
