Pablo Picasso - Cubism Picasso developed a
style of art known as Cubism. Cubism began in France in 1907. Picasso began painting figures that were made up of different shapes, cubes, spheres, cylinders, and cones. The paintings looked like someone had cut them up and glued them back together.
