HTMLSize and optimize an original logo as a .png for a web page

Identify hex colors to match logo using Photoshop color picker.

Process:I made this webpage using Notepad++. I used an HTML template and I attached a pre-

made CSS document to the webpage. I used the eye dropper tool to find the colors in my

logo made those the colors in the webpage. I used Segoe UI as the body copy with Arial,

Helvetica, and sans-serif as backups. For the heading fonts, I used Century Schoolbook

with Times New Roman and serif. I used padding around my first heading and my logoso that they wouldn’t be too close to other elements.

away the hard edges. I blended the image into the background using a large brush with

25% opacity. I repeated the process for the blue planet. I added the body copy and

title. I made the man and woman smaller. I used the content-aware fill tool to fill in the

background behind them. I used the clone tool to touch up and make thing more realistic

LogoDescription:Company logos in different variations

Date: November 1, 2014

Course/Instructor:COMM 130 Section 11

Emily Kunz

Program(s)/Tools:Adobe Illustrator

Objectives:Create three completely different, original logos to fit a company or personal image that

will appeal to the audience.

Use only the Illustrator tools to create and draw logos. Process:

I used Adobe Illustrator. For the first logo, I downloaded a picture of a baton and

outlined it using the pen tool. I did the same process with the second logo except I traced

a lightsaber for the “p”. I downloaded music font and put the bass clef character next to

the “p”. I used the pen tool to clean it up. Then I reflected it vertically. In the third logo Iused the music text again to create the notes in the center.

Process:I downloaded Star Wars font and used that as the P and C in the first logo. I used line

tool to create the green part of the lightsaber and the handle. For the second logo, I traced

aroung a bass cleff. I flipped it so that it looked like a C. I used the line tool to create an

orange lightsaber and attached that to a letter P. For the third logo, I downloaded music

font so I could create the music note.

LetterheadDescription:Stationary and business card from personally created logo

Date: November 8, 2014

Course/Instructor:COMM 130 Section 11

Emily Kunz

Program(s)/Tools:Adobe Illustrator/ Adobe InDesign

Objectives:Use the new logo to design consistent layouts for a business card and letterhead.

Keep designs simple with light watermarks and drop shadows and plenty of white space.

Use the basic tools in Illustrator & InDesign.

Process:I placed the logo in the top left of the stationary and added the contact information. I used

blue, teal, and indigo throughout to match the logo. Using the pen tool, I created three

curvy lines and changed them to match my color scheme. I put the effect of gradient

feather on it so that it would gradually fade. I did the same process for the bottom lines. I

expanded the logo and made it transparent to make the watermark.

Process:I created the logo using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. I used blue, teal, and indigo

as my color scheme. I used the rectangle tool to create the front and back outline of my

business card. I then copied and pasted the logo to the front right side and the contact

information to the right side. Using the pen tool, I created a curvy line. I split it up into

three lines and put them under the logo.

For the back, I pasted the logo to the right side and the curvy lines under it.
