ASTRO RF Site – Receives and demodulates digital voice fromsubscriber radio, packetizes it in IP, and hands it off to thebackhaul.

Backhaul Network – Takes IP packets from ASTRO RF Siteand routes it to ASTRO Core site using MPLS and VLANprotocols over microwave radio hops.

ASTRO Core Network – Takes IP packetized voice and routesto all destination sites using multicast.
