Welcome to our 21st Century Curriculum.

At Patea Area School we have a holistic approach to learning. Our student’s goals, passions and aspirations sit at the centre of all we do. Teaching and learning is inquiry based. Our programmes are designed to be authentic and experiential, with a focus on equipping our young people with the skills needed to be successful in a changing world. 21st Century pedagogy and tools are integral to who we are, as is an invested commitment to sustainable based studies under the umbrella of:

We look forward to working with your child this year as they learn, achieve and participate in these modern and innovative Year 1-6 STEAM ‘taster’ courses.

In 2018 the Year 1-6 STEAM programme will run for two hours each week. Students will complete two courses per term.

Each student is supported and expected to achieve at their own personal level of excellence. Students will evaluate their progress and level of enjoyment at the end of each course.

With a strong foundation built around our school values of PRIDE, we proudly provide a caring family environment where our students are nurtured and cared for.
