p PAIRED READING Imani Nyezi (G10) listens to a Grade 3 learner reading during the afternoon program.
On 8 October, the First Holy Communion candidates received the Sacrament of
Reconciliation with Father Moshoe-shoe in preparation for their First Holy Communion. Reconciliation, or confession, is a Catholic sacra-ment in which the priest, as an agent of God, forgives sins which have been committed, when the sinner is genuinely sorry for them
and sincerely confesses them to God In reconciling with God, grace is restored to the soul. The candidates were rather apprehensive at first, but after their session with Father, left with renewed fervour to live their lives in a better way.
"When I went for Confession, I felt happy. I am glad to be a Catholic."

I have had the privilege of working with extraordinary learners all trying to achieve success. I have yet to meet an individual who will not likely be successful. Here are some lessons to help you on the road to success.
To be successful you need to show up. There are many talented individuals in the world who could achieve many great things, however, if they do not
“show up”, they will never be able to make a contribution.
You need to believe in yourself and your abilities. No-one else is going to do things for you. To be successful you need to be different from everyone else. You have to be prepared to fail if you are go-
ing to be successful. You cannot be para-lysed by fear of failure or you will never push yourself.
You need to work hard. No rules of suc-cess will work unless you do. You cannot climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets.
My prayer for you is that you will have a dream, that you will show up, be your-self, work hard and ultimately be successful.
