Saugatuck Trail

To reach the north end of the trail: From the junctions of Routes 57

and 53 in Weston, go north on Route 53 for 5.5 m

iles. Turn right onto Route 10

Turn right on Deer H

ill Road and go for 0.7 m

iles. Trailhead is on the side of 56 D

eer Hill Road, alongside and behind a storm

water

catch basin.

To reach the south end of the trail: From the junction of Routes 57

and 53 in Weston, go north on Route 53 for 3.5 m

iles to Valley Forge Road. Turn right on Valley Forge Road and continue for 1.8 m

iles to Davis H

ill Road. Turn right on Davis H

ill Road, trailhead is about 50

Parking: A parking area is located at the north end of the Saugatuck

Reservoir, at the entrance of the Universal A

ccess Trail (see map).

To reach the north end of the trail: From the intersection of Routes

107 and 58 in Redding (Putnam

orial State Park), take Route 58 south for 1.7 m

iles. Turn left on Hopew

ell Woods Road. Follow

for 1.8 m

iles to parking on right.

To reach the south end of the trail: From the intersection of Routes

58 and 136 in Easton, take Route 58 north for 2.6 miles. Turn

right on Valley Road. Follow for 0

.5 miles. Turn left at intersection

with Staples Road. C

iles to fork. Take left fork to Rockhouse Road. Turn left on Rockhouse Road. Follow

Centennial W

atershed State Forest was nam

ed to honor the 10

0th anniversary of the State Forest System

in Connecticut.

This State Forest is unique because it is the watershed of a public

drinking water supply. A

s such, all uses of the property are subject to regulation by the D

epartment of Public H

ealth.

The Saugatuck and Aspetuck Trails provide access to over 40

m

iles of scenic trails through Easton, Weston, Redding and

New

town. W
