Legal environment: before …

• CFC: the collective management of rights is mandatory for print copies

• Since 1995, Inist has contracted an agreement with the CFC which allows reproductions and deliveries to private and public users in return for financial compensation.

• Start in 2010 …end in December 2013• Claim for copyright infringment• Decision – Opt out model is not copyright compliant – Opt in model should have been used in Inist

research – Persée (french language journals in Social Sciences and

humanities. 125 journals)– Revues.org (a journal and book collection platform in Social

Sciences and humanities) 401 ejournals and 12 ebooks collections.– ORBI (Open Repository and Bibliography –(Belgium) 61 000

documents
