The College is seeking a new Accommodation Manager to replace the current incumbent who is leaving after 14 years exemplary service.
The successful candidate will have experience in managing accommodation and its cleaning through a diverse team of staff and across a multi-site organisation. The post will also share heavily in the responsibility for the provision and delivery of the College’s conference programme to a very high standard.
The post holds considerable budgetary and contractual authority connected with the furnishing of property and contracts associated with running that property. Direct liaison with tenants (students, conference guests and others) will be required, as will management of the Health & Safety aspects of the team, and line management of 21 staff. The post holder requires an unusual balance of tact and diplomacy whilst also being firm when required; they will also need to be highly organised and IT literate across the MS Office suite of programmes, as well as having the ability to become proficient in the use of other software.
This post is a significant managerial post within the College structure. The successful candidate will be able to represent the College in meetings with potential and actual conference clients, as well as supervising these and other events. Weekend working will be a feature in support of conferences and peak workloads.
The College is looking to fill this full-time post from 1 March 2015, but may delay for the right candidate.
