Extension Choose an animal you would like to have as a pet. Use the Internet to research information about the animal. Questions you may want to think about:

• Where does the animal originate from? • Is it a domestic or an exotic pet? • Will I need a special licence to own it? • What does it eat? • Does it have any other special requirements (e.g. does it like to be kept alone or with other

animals of the same kind)? • How much space will it need and what should it be kept in? • Is my home a suitable environment for it? • How much will it cost to keep? • Will it need any injections/ operations to protect it from disease?

Give a short presentation about what you found out to the rest of the class.
