YOUTH PEER SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL
The Youth Peer Services Advisory Council (YPSAC) responsibilities:
Oversee and advise on training and credentialing Provide secondary review of YPA Credential applications as needed. Review and role on violations of the YPA Code Of Ethics Advise on the development of supervisor and service team training to support
implementation of Youth Peer Support Services.

THE YPA CREDENTIAL QUALIFICATION
18 to 30 years old with first-hand lived experience HS Diploma, HS Equivalency, or a State Education Commencement Credential. Complete full YPA Training 3 letters of reference, 1 from supervisor Abide by YPA Code of Ethics Document 600 hours of experience 20 hours of continuing education every 2 years Demonstrate qualities of leadership Supervised by a credentialed YPA or qualified mental health staff person

6 STEPS TO A YPA CREDENTIAL
Step 1: Complete Level One of the YPA Training: Online
Step 2: Apply for the YPA Provisional Credential
Step 3: Complete Level Two of the YPA Training: Online
Step 6: Apply for the YPA Professional Credential
Step 5: Complete a minimum of 3 Consultation Calls
Step 4: Complete Level Two YPA Training: In-Person
Every 2 years: submit 20 continuing education hours to renew credential
