The Book of Jonah chronicles one believer’s struggle to grasp the mysterious relationship between divine justice and divine love. Fearing that God’s love potentially compromises God’s justice, Jonah engages God in a heated argument over the indiscriminate and seemingly promiscuous nature of divine love. In the end, Jonah is forced to reexamine his theology as he realizes what a gross miscalculation he has made—both of God’s nature and the identity of God’s people. This will be a challenging and insightful look into the nature of God and his call on our lives.
