“Citizens Budget” is a simpler, less technical version of the Government’s Annual Budget. It can foster greater understanding of how the public money is being prepared thus helping to engage citizens, the civil society, and stakeholders to participate in the budgeting process as a crucial and necessary step towards a transparent and trustworthy government.

Citizens Budget Fiscal Year 2021 presents the information from the FY2021 Annual Budget Expenditure Act which includes economic outlook, estimated receipt and sources of income, highlighted government policies, budget structure, different budget classifications, and the priority of high budget recipient ministries. The benefits that citizens will gain from the FY2021 Budget are also presented under the section “What will citizens get from the FY2021 Budget ?” by highlighting key issues and projects in various sectors including economic, social, environmental, and security sectors.
