DescriptionGeberit Impuls260 standard dual-flush outlet valve Art. No. 223 003.21.1 for use in close-coupled cisterns (Fig. 1), with lid attachment. Impuls260 incorporates a new flush technology, fits many cisterns (Fig. 3 for measurements) and is adjustable to 6/3L, 4.5/3L or to suit the pan. The excellent outlet valve design guarantees high flow velocity of between 2.0 - 2.8 L/s.

DescriptionThe Geberit Outlet Valve Type 290 supersedes the Type 280. The all new dual flush valve is an ideal upgrade for the Typ 280 and typ 250 as it fits the original base installed in the cistern. The bright chrome dual flush button is a new style and easier to operate. The valve is designed for close coupled cisterns and available in a retrofit version that suits multiple sized button holes. A long tail base is available as an accessory for cisterns connect with a flush pipe.

CompatibilityTyp250 and Typ280 valves can be changed to Typ290 without replacing the basket. Typ260 is not compatible with Typ290. Fit a complete new valve and basket or order a Typ260 replacement valve.

Replacing Other Valves: - check cistern depth: 325-465mm (standard 272.400.21.1), 460-600mm (add 243.430.00.1)- check basket type: close coupled (basket comes with valve), linked cistern (add 241.825.00.1) Note: if replacing Typ280 or Typ250 the basket is compatible and can be reused

Push down the left button and at the same time lift the right button up and remove it. Remove the left button (keep button and plastic rod together).

Rear connection: Close stop valve. (Centre of cistern on wall)

Remove old seal replace with new outlet valve seal, Art. No. 816.418.00.1.

Push the inlet valve back in.

Fit the cistern lid. Use a screw driver and screw the plastic screw in (clockwise).

Use a screw driver and unscrew the plastic screw (anti clockwise) then remove the cistern lid. (Do not remove lid extension.)

Unhook inlet valve from clip and rest it in cistern. (Arrow direction).

Put the flush valve back in.

Rear connection: Open stop valve (centre of cistern on wall).

Bottom connection: Close stop valve (below cistern on wall).

Unclip flush valve by pressing both snap-in catches together. Lift out the flush valve.

Line up the flush valve so it is parallel with the cistern and click it into place.

Bottom connection: Open stop valve (below cistern on wall).

Push the buttons including plastic rods into the housing cistern on wall).

WARNING! Upon maintenance or replacement of valve, backflow prevention must comply with the requirements of AS/NZS 3500.1. The installer must ensure that the overflow and half-flush settings are equivalent to original valve settings and comply with AS 1172.2.
