LGBT NEWS DIRECT TO ALL OF YOUR SCREENSOUT & ABOUT TODAY premiered in 2005

on NewsChannel 5+

Since June 2005, Out & About Nashville’s TV show, Out & About Today has brought LGBT related issues to Middle Tennessee with news, business, and entertainment segments. Out & About Today airs on CBS affiliate NewsChannel 5+ on Comcast and Charter cable systems in 37 Tennessee counties, with a potential audience of more than 500,000. In addition, it is regularly viewed online via YouTube, Facebook, and embedded players.

As Out & About Nashville publisher Jerry Jones explains, a very important aspect of the show is how the newspaper has been able to cross over into a vibrant medium that speaks both to readers and television viewers.

“Out & About Today has been a tremendous success and an asset to the community because it has allowed our print product to come alive. We can’t thank NewsChannel 5 enough for the opportunity to partner to produce the show, Jones said. “Businesses have been very supportive to advertise and support the program.”

Out & About Today can be viewed every weekend on NewsChannel 5+, Fridays at 10 p.m., Saturdays at 9:30 p.m., and Sundays at 10 p.m. on Comcast Channel 250, Charter Channel 182, Digital Broadcast Channel 5.2, and online at outandabouttoday.com.
