We give thanks for the fruits of the labours of those who have died:
For the gifts they gave to the world, for the gifts they gave to us.
GATHER THEIR FRUITS
THE WORK OF THEIR HANDS AND THEIR HEARTS
INTO THE HARVEST OF THE KINGDOM.
In our sorrow for those who died, we look to you and to one another for comfort.
LORD, ENFOLD IN YOUR LOVE OUR ACHING HEARTS
AND THE HEARTS OF ALL WHO MOURN
CHERISH US –
SOOTHE US –
CONSOLE US –
TEACH US TO BELIEVE IN A FUTURE BEYOND TEARS.
As we remember those we love, we remember your love for them,
a love that endures from eternity to eternity.
WE ENTRUST THOSE WE LOVE TO YOUR ETERNAL LOVE
WE COMMIT THEIR SOULS TO YOUR KEEPING.
WE GO TO LIVE IN HOPE
THAT WE WILL MEET THEM IN YOUR KINGDOM
WHERE THERE ARE NO TEARS – NO MOURNING
NO DARKNESS OF SORROW
FOR YOU ARE OUR LIGHT AND OUR SALVATION
AND WE PLACE ALL OUR TRUST IN YOU.
And so, we ask God to bless us and keep us in trust
THE FATHER – THE SON – AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
And until we and those whom we have loved and lost meet again
After all the names are read we pray:
Family of God, we remember you, and we honor you. We know you are with us in the
spirit of worship, and you will not be forgotten. We give thanks O God for all who have
gone on to join with You beyond this life. We trust in the hope of resurrection and the
promise of new life in Christ, and know that in our grief and celebration, O God, You are
with us through it all, and we are not left alone. In the name of Christ, in whom love lives
forever, we pray.
Affirmation of Faith
We believe that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
Neither tribulation or distress, persecution or famine, nakedness, peril, or
sword.
We believe that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things
present, nor things to come,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We believe that by the power of the Holy Spirit Death is not the last word;
those who die in Christ pass triumphantly thru death to life everlasting
to join with all those who have gone before in that great Communion of
Saints who stand on God’s celestial shore
Get involved in Youth
Appropriate for All Saints is the highlight of one of our most
memorable endowments, the Andy Gray Scholarship Fund.
It was generously started in memory of a father, husband and
brother six years ago. Since funding, the congregation has
doubled the original fund in memorials and honorariums.
The endowment arm and Rev. Blake are recommending your
opening your heart to a drive to achieve a balance that will
fund the $1,000 scholarship grant which is the standard in the
community. The goal is $8,000 by 12/31/15 for the greatest
impact. Contributions should be marked “for Andy Gray
Coming up soon, Our annual church wide charge conference
will be Thursday 11/11/15 at 6pm. We will be hosting our

and he will lead our charge conference. More info to come but
mark your calendars now.

How we Live Our Faith
Most importantly by extending a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, gay, filthy rich, dirt poor, yo no habla Ingles. We extend a special welcome to those
who are crying new-borns, skinny as a rail or could afford to lose a few pounds. We welcome you if you can sing like Andrea Bocelli or like our pastor who can’t carry a note in
a bucket. You’re welcome here if you’re “just browsing,” just woke up or just got out of jail. We don’t care if you’re more Catholic than the Pope, or haven’t been in church since
little Joey’s Baptism. We extend a special welcome to those who are over 60 but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome soccer moms,
NASCAR dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re
having problems or you’re down in the dumps or if you don’t like “organized religion,” we’ve been there too. If you blew all your offering money at the dog track, you’re welcome
here. We offer a special welcome to those who think the earth is flat, work too hard, don’t work, can’t spell, or because grandma is in town and wanted to go to church. We wel-
come those who are inked, pierced or both. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid or got lost in
traffic and wound up here by mistake. We welcome tourists, seekers and doubters, bleeding hearts … and you!

Please “Check-In” and tell the world you are in worship at
FUMC Eureka Springs; by doing so we are witnessing to our faith
in one small way.
It’s about getting to know each other better:
George and Mary Kay have lived their love story for
over 50 years starting with a blind date and marriage in
Darmstadt, Germany. Blessed with 3 children and now
grandchildren. Their life and love has endured many
changes but their strong faith has supported them through
all the ups and downs. They joined our church in 2010
and have been involved as active members of our church.
George is our resident poet you enjoy reading in the
bulletin.
UMW had a wonderful outreach to Brighton Ridge last week
with about 12 members going and also Marie Sathrum played
and sang for the group to celebrate birthdays.
