OUR TRADITIONS
HALLOWEEN & ALL SAINTS´ DAY
HALLOWEEN The 31st of October we celebrate Halloween. It isn´t our tradition, it´s an American tradition and we copy it. Our Halloween isn´t the same of America´s Halloween.
PUMPKINS AND MELONS
In Halloween we take pumpkins and melons and we cut it them to do a face.
OUR COSTUMES In Halloween we also dress up as vampires, witches, skeletons, zombies, ghosts with chains and heavy metal balls…
MY COSTUME
Last year I dresssed up as a vampire and my sister was a witch.
TRICK OR TREAT
In Halloween, at night we visit our neighbour ´s houses and we say “Trick or treat”, and they give us candies.
HALLOWEEN AT THE SCHOOL
Every year we celebrate Halloween at the school, because it´s a bilingual school, and we do activities in the playground.
We have a lot of fun.
ALL SAINTS´ DAY The 1st of November we celebrate All Saints´ Day, and this is our tradition. In Spain this day we don´t have school.
IN THE CEMETERY We go to the cemetery with flowers and candles for the people in our family that are dead. We also say a prayer for them.
DELICIOUS DESSERTS
In this day we cook some delicious desserts like “huesos de santo”.
My grandmother cooks this delicious dessert with sweet potato, cinnamon, sugar…
It´s delicious!!!!
We also eat roasted chesnuts.
HAPPY ALL SAINTS´ DAY!
