Your existing tarmac is the most cost-effective solution. Permanent markings are easily added to it for any kind of court or sport requirement. You may however, be looking to fully upgrade your sports surfacing if it’s condition is poor. We understand that space, especially in schools, can be a premium. You may wish to keep your tarmac space as a traditional playground but using part of your existing grass to develop an all weather Multi Use Games Area can be a huge befit to a school or community. Any sports area installed onto a grass surface will require a proper base with suitable drainage. Schoolscapes can plan and develop the appropriate groundworks for your location, need and budget.

A polymeric surface is a rubber surface, similar to wet pour, but adapted for use as an all-weather sports surface. The rubber is thinner and firmer underfoot and coated with an anti-slip coating. The surface is porous allowing water to drain through, ensuring all year round usage.

A thin layer of rubber is applied directly onto good quality existing tarmac and then coated with coloured anti-slip spray.

Artificial sports grass is an alternative to traditional grass pitches with the added benefits of low maintenance and all year round use. It is porous allowing water to drain through, ensuring play in all seasons.

Artificial grass is ideally laid on a rubber shock pad, reducing the impact of trips and falls, however it can also be laid directly onto tarmac or an MOT base topped with compacted sand.

MUGA fencing is designed to withstand impact and retain integrity and durability whilst providing excellent ball-stop qualities. It also allows optimum visibility and is available in a range of colours at three different heights (1m, 2m, 3m) and three different grades;

Choose from our two goals, the Junior and the Senior, with the Senior measuring 0.50m higher. Entrance to your MUGA can be in the form of a gate or a chicane, whichever best suits your needs.

Football

Add line markings to your MUGA to provide the best sports area for your requirements. There are a range of regulation sized court and pitch markings for a wide variety of games, examples of some shown below. If you are looking for a smaller space you can even choose to have your markings scaled down, or made for smaller team games such as five-a-side football. We can also add markings for non-prescribed game play allowing children to create their own ways of playing (see bottom left photo).
