MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL COME & TRY SCHOOL MORNING What a very impressive morning it turned out to be. We had families from local Kindergartens/Child Care Centres who took the opportunity to come along to our Come & Try School Morning. The children enjoyed their time in the classroom with Ms Richards, while their parents had a tour around the school and learnt about Primary School life. KINDER VISITS Our wonderful Year Three students have been busy visiting our local kindergartens and running some engaging early Literacy activities. They have shown exceptional leadership qualities as well as our school values and I believe there may be a few budding teachers in the mix. GARDEN CLUB It is with great pleasure that we announce that Garden Club is up and running again this year. With thanks to the Sunshine Golden Age Garden Club and Sarah’s Mum Michelle we have some well stocked garden beds. So far they have planted radishes, spring onions, broccoli, mint, parsley, sage, aubergines, curry plant, lemon grass, oregano, kale and capsicum. Any-one is welcome to come along Wednesday lunchtime’s at 1:40 to help out. To assist with watering we would love some donations of empty ice-cream tubs can be placed under bubble taps to collect excess water. Every little bit helps. THANK YOU I would like to thank the staff and school community

for guiding and supporting me through getting to

know all about Sunshine Primary School. I still have a

lot to learn about Sunshine PS and cannot believe

how fast this term has flown by! One of the highlights

of my work with the school has been seeing how the

staff and parent community work together.

The collaboration of the school and community is

something that you all should be proud of and I look

forward to continuing to work with you all.

Mathletics is a fantastic numeracy web based

program that can be used both at school and at

home. We will be sending home the log in details

and password for each child before the end of the

term so that you can utilise the program at home.

PARENT GARDENING GROUP We are currently organising with parents a

gardening group to assist in doing some tidying up

around the place, beginning with the front of the

school. Thank you to the parents who have already

offered to assist. If you have a spare hour or two

each week, please let Elizabeth in the office or

myself know and we will add you to the gardening

list, contacting you soon to coordinate some dates

and times.

Kylie Champion

Assistant Principal

Thank you to those families who have made a donation.

Our Annual Easter Raffle happens with the

generosity of our school community & we ask

for a donation from each family, to make our

hampers simply full of wonderful Easter goodies!

If you can donate Easter eggs, toys or other

Easter items, please drop them off in the box

provided at the office.

Tickets have been sent home with the eldest child.
