We understand your Information Interoperability challenges

Our Approach - D3 Methodology

Constant struggle between need to share vs. need to protect.

Confusion about what to share, how to share, and whom to share with

Complex policies and procedures associated with sharing sensitive and classified information

Countless standards, solutions and technologies making it hard to evaluate and assess solutions to meet current mission

needs, and emerging technologies with a mobile workforce

Escalating operational costs for systems integration and interoperability, network consolidation, cloud migration,

shared services, and cybersecurity challenges

Our D3 Methodology packages our

extensive experiences, and creates a

structured approach to:

Define, conceptualize, rationalize, and

socialize vision and strategy

Design capabilities to support

strategic and mission interoperability

needs, and

Deliver effective solutions that

leverage existing investments and

align with the organization’s strategy

Does one shoe fit all? Neither does a solution. The right mix of talent, processes and technology solve mission needs today, and

pave the way for future enhancements. Our agile business structure attracts qualified talent while keeping us competitive.

Our Experiences supporting Information Interoperability Engagements

NIEM implementation at New York State Police

Issue: NY had an aging and rigid, mainframe based mission

critical, statewide police information network, with limited

functionality, documentation and a diminishing workforce.

Solution: The team developed a multi-tiered SOA, and open

standards based solution that serves the back-bone for all

information sharing with in-state, and out-of-state partners

including FBI CJIS, NLETS, DHS, etc.

Impact: 1st and the largest NIEM implementation globally,

processing about 2.5 million transactions per day and

supporting more than 50,000 users.

White House National Strategy for Information Sharing

Issue: 911 highlighted gaps in information sharing and

safeguarding. Office of PM-ISE assigned responsibility to

address gaps in process, standards, and technologies.

Solution: The team supported development of the strategy,

leading development of multiple global information sharing

standards, and managing multiple innovation pilots across

federal (intelligence, defense), state and international partners.

Impact: National security priority objectives driving improved

inter-agency collaboration, approved standards, shared

services, and a roadmap for future innovation

KYM Consultants are proud to have played critical leadership roles in award winning projects:
