TRANSCRIPT
One of the joys of work-
ing at Casper Youth for
Christ is meeting so many
wonderful committed
Christians who have a
passion to share the Gos-
pel. In
I Corinthians 10:16-17,
Paul presented the hu-
man body as an illustra-
tion of the interrelation-
ship of the members of
Christ's body, the church.
The body is a remarkable
biological creation in
God’s whole created or-
der. The diversity in the
body of Christ is neces-
sary and marvelous as are the various
parts in the human body. For the body of
Christ to function successfully, CYFC
recognizes the need to utilize the whole
body of Christ as the human body is im-
measurably more than the sum of its
parts. As scripture states, “How good
and how pleasant it is when brethren
dwell together in unity…..It is like oil
flowing from Aaron’s beard, there the
Lord commands a blessing.”Psalm 133:1
-3 We are excited about promoting a
greater networking with ministries such
as CEF, True Care and those from vari-
ous local churches in our community.
Working together in unity promotes
greater effectiveness in Christ!
Sharon Lockwood, Executive Director
When I was asked to be on the
Board of Directors, I was excited to be of
service. When I first visited CYFC and
toured the Link, I didn’t re-
alize it existed. I was
amazed as to how many
youth were coming to the
Link to eat. I sensed God
was really working to meet
these youth right where
they were. I realized then that God called
me to be involved with Casper Youth for
Christ. Also, seeing the lunches go from 3
to 5 days per week was very exciting be-
cause it shows that CYFC is building mo-
mentum in reaching young people for
Christ. Being a part of the body of Christ
and what He is doing in our community
humbles me and makes me so grateful.
I met Sharon and Hope and they
prayed for me. The prayers were impactful
and very helpful. It helped identify areas
in my life to which I needed to attend. It
brought things to the surface that were
buried. The ministry of CYFC is changing
lives. Chris Culver, CYFC Board Member

Our outreach with CEF
went well. We were able
to set up at a local low-
income housing apart-
ment complex. Casper
Youth for Christ provided
the hot dogs for this
amazing CEF outreach.
We are truly blessed to
partner with such a won-
derful Christ-centered
organization. We both
have the goal of reach-
ing individuals with the
love and saving power of
Jesus Christ! Thank you
CEF for all you do in the
community. We are ex-
cited about our partner-
ship and future out-
reaches together!

I have a very special story to share about the importance of sow-ing the Gospel. Over 20 years ago, I used to go door to door at CY Apart-ment complex. I met an 11-year-old gal named April. I took her and other youth to church and to a Christian “Carman” con-cert. April con-tacted me 20 years later and let me know she had accepted Je-sus Christ into her heart. She never forgot the prayers or the time we spent with her. Also, I recently ran into several of the other youth and their moth-er. They shared they were also very thankful for the time we spent with them, and Jesus now plays a big role in their lives. We never know how much of an impression we can make in the lives of youth. April and I keep in touch and she has come to the Link often for prayer. Sharon Lock-wood
Casper Youth for Christ exists to help
youth fulfill their destinies. We
have met a very precious young
man who knows where God has
called him to serve. This is
Caleb Sterkel. He will leave for
training with Youth With A
Mission (YWAM) in Septem-
ber. After 3 months of train-
ing, he will leave for overseas to
preach the Gospel in the most
dangerous, needed areas.
It was a very
fruitful night at
JDC. We had 15
total—5 female and
10 male.
I was asked
how I came to
Christ so I gave
them the whole
story—every last
detail of who I was and how Christ
changed me. At the end of my talk, it
was 7 p.m. and I offered to pray for
them. Nine kids wanted personal
prayer.
Once all that was done around
8 p.m. I started for the door. One of
the guards stopped me. He wanted to
ask me some questions. We spent a bit
talking about what it means to be born
again. He accepted Christ with a sim-
ple prayer, and I pray that we all be-
come aware that there are more than
just the kids listening when we are
speaking. Bert Eldredge, JDC Volunteer
Thank you to all of our prayer
and financial supporters who make it
possible to take the gospel to the youth
of our city.
The main pur-pose of Youth for Christ is to bring youth to the saving
knowledge of Christ. This week we will be partnering with Child Evangelism do-ing a 5-day club at Riverview Park. We will be cooking hot dogs and sharing the gospel of Christ. We must never give up on reaching the youth of our city, so eve-ry week until school starts we will be in a different part of the city of Casper reach-ing youth with the gospel of Christ. If you would like to be involved in our out-reaches, you can call us at 235-6650. We now have an archery class every Monday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. It is for ages 10 to adult. This is a free class and Casper Creek Archery will be sponsoring it here at the Link. All the bows and arrows will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Also, our leadership class for youth is held every Wednesday here at the Link from 3:30 p.m.to 5 p.m. We have a lot of fun at this leadership class.
Carl House, Ministry Director
You can support Caleb by com-
ing to a fundraising dinner at
