Charity Foundation has been

dedicated to conserving the

environment and caring for the

underprivileged communities in

Hong Kong.

We strive to accomplish our

missions to help reduce food

waste at the source, alleviate

hunger and poverty, and educate

the next generation through our

food assistance program, central

kitchen, food collection and

delivery fleet, community

outreach service, education

program and volunteer team.

小寶慈善基金2009年成立，為政

府認可的慈善機構。我們致力協

助社會上有需要的人士改善生活，

並為保護環境出一分力。

我們透過食物援助計劃、中央廚房、

食物回收及派發車隊、社區外展服

務、教育項目及義工團隊，致力推

行由源頭減少食物浪費，協助紓解

飢餓及貧窮問題，並教育下一代珍

惜資源及保護環境。

Food Angel is a sustainable Food Rescue &

Food Assistance Program launched by the Bo

Charity Foundation in 2011 with the ultimate

goal of achieving Waste Not Hunger Not.

The Food Angel team has been in effort to

rescue edible surplus food from the local food

industry. Following a set of strict food safety

protocols, the rescued food items are then

prepared into nutritious hot meals and food

packs in our two central kitchens and

redistributed to the deprived communities

across Hong Kong free of charge by our

logistics team.

Today, we serve 6,000 Free Hot Meals & Food

Packs daily to people in need of food

assistance and rescue 4,000 kg surplus food

from going to our landfills every day.

停止浪費、解決飢餓

惜食堂是小寶慈善基金於2011年開展的食

物回收及援助計劃，宗旨為停止浪費、解

決飢餓。

惜食堂團隊致力向本地飲食界回收仍可安

全食用之剩餘食物，通過嚴格的食物安檢

程序，再經中央廚房製作成營養均衡的熱

飯餐及食物包，最後由物流團隊免費派發

給社會上需要食物援助的人士。

現時兩所中央廚房每天生產6,000份熱飯餐

及食物包，並拯救超過4,000kg 仍可食用的

剩餘食物，避免食物浪費及協助減輕堆填

區的壓力。

In 2015, our logistics team has expanded to 4 cooling trucks and 17 minivans for the collection of edible surplus food and distributions of hot meal boxes and food packs.

2015年惜食堂物流團隊已擴展至4輛冷凍貨車及17輛輕型貨車，負責回收食物、派送熱飯餐與食物包。

From food collection and storage to mealpreparation and distribution, we strive tomake sure every step of the food-handling procedure is in compliance withthe highest food safety standard andquality assurance. In addition tofollowing a set of strict food safetyprotocols developed by professionalfood safety consultants, our hot mealsare sampled for laboratory test on a dailybasis and hygiene audits for kitchens andlogistic fleet are conducted every month.

Green Angel is a comprehensive, academic year-long school based education program comprisingan Introductory Talk, a Puppet Show, an Animation,Green Lessons, Food Up-cycling Workshops, FieldTrips, a Rewarding Scheme and School Carnivals.

With the aims of enlightening school children tocherish food and be responsible for theenvironment, the Green Angel team has visitedover 100 local and international schools andinspired more than 26,000 kindergarten andprimary students since its launch in February 2013.

「綠惜學堂」是一個多元化的學年制教育計劃，內容包括﹕講座、手偶劇、動畫、食物再生工作坊、考察活動、獎勵計劃及嘉年華會。

我們期望透過計劃教育學童珍惜食物及愛護自然環境。計劃自2013年2月推出以來，已有100多間本地及國際學校參與，啟發超過26,000個幼稚園及小學學童珍惜食物的重要。

Launched in June 2013, “Outreach Angel” has beendedicated to delivering free nutritious hot meal, no-perishable food packs and loving care to thesingletons, physically frail or disabled elderly fivedays a week in the Eastern district.

Led by a well-experienced social worker, theOutreach team tries understand more of the specialneeds of the beneficiaries through the regular homevisits. The service enables us to further improve thequality of life of those in need by adequatelyreferring them to other service providers. As ofAugust 2015, “Outreach Angel” has been serving112 households in need.

「外展天使」自2013年6月開展以來，每週五天把充滿愛心的免費營養熱飯餐及食物包，透過探訪直接派送給居住於香港東區的獨居、長期病患或行動不便的長者。

在經驗豐富的社工領導下，外展天使團隊透過定時的家訪送餐服務，嘗試更深入了解受惠長者在生活上的其他需要，並提供適切的轉介服務，期望進一步改善他們的生活質素。截至2015年8月，「外展天使」已為112戶有需要人士提供外展食物援助服務。

Launched in April 2013, Corporate Angel aims at engagingcorporations to perform their Corporate SocialResponsibilities (CSR) by supporting Food Angel’s mission of“Waste Not, Hunger Not”. Through a spectrum ofcommunity events and team building activities, corporatevolunteers can help reduce food waste at source and servethe people in need of food assistance by experiencing thedaily works of Food Angel Food Rescue and Food AssistanceProgram, and help raise fund to support the program.

於2013年4月推出的「企業天使」，為商業機構提供不同類型

的企業社會責任活動，一起實踐惜食堂「停止浪費、解決飢

餓」的使命。透過團隊培訓及社區活動，企業義工在體驗惜

食堂食物回收及援助計劃的實際運作之餘，更可一起協助由

源頭減少食物浪費及幫助需要食物援助的人士；同時為計劃

籌集善款。

Bread Angel works hand in hand with volunteersand local bakeries to help reduce food waste andthose in need of food assistance. Bread Angelvolunteers collect unsold bakery products frombakeries at their closing time and directly deliverthe baking items to the nearby beneficiary centresfor their next day consumption.

Since its launch in June 2013, Bread Angel hasalready rescued over 63,000 baking items. 49routings in different districts are set up forvolunteers to sign up online. Together we hope tospread our love for those in need as well as helpalleviate the food waste issues in Hong Kong.

「愛包行動」與義工及本地的麵包店攜手合作，在

麵包店晚上關門時，將未出售的新鮮麵包直接運送

到鄰近的社會服務機構，供受惠者翌日享用。

自2013年6月開展以來，「愛包行動」已拯救了超過

63,000 個烘焙產品。我們在全港各區共設有49條收集

麵包路線，義工可在網上登記，一起協助減少食物

浪費，同時為有需要人士傳遞關愛。

Food Angel Community Center

惜食堂社區中心

Food Angel Community Centre was established in October 2014 and located above ourKowloon central kitchen. Free dine-in food assistance and referral services are provided forthe elderly in need in Sham Shui Po district. Other free activities such as choir, birthdayparties, movie club, outings and workshops are held regularly for our members.

The Centre also serves as a community hub to offer adequate community support and lovingcare to those in need in the neighborhood. As of August 2015, over 120 elderly have becomemembers of the Centre.

惜食堂社區中心於2014年10月成立，位於惜食堂九龍中央廚房的上層。中心為深水埗區有需要的長者提供免費的堂食食物援助及個案轉介服務。中心亦會定期舉辦各類型的活動，如合唱團、生日會、電影欣賞、短途旅遊和工作坊，供會員免費參加。

此外，中心亦會提供社區支援服務，協助區內有需要人士獲得適切的支援及關懷。截至2015年8月，已有超過120位長者成為中心的會員。
