Multiple studies show that people with good dental hygiene have lower rates for heart attack or stroke. One reason for this may be that the same bacteria that cause gum disease could travel to the circulatory system and cause problems there. Brushing for two minutes twice a day removes the bacteria. Researchers also think there is a link between inflammation in the mouth, which can be caused by poor oral health, and disease in other parts of the body. Since brushing and flossing is easy, quick and inexpensive, it's something we can all do to benefit our overall health. An Extra $1000 Per Year Spending money on little things regularly can really add up over time. Do you have a habit of spending $4 per day on coffee or $15 for lunch? Try fixing these items at home so that you can minimize your expenditures. Over time, you'll be surprised at the total savings.
