Winter 2018-2019 A word from the new Chairman and President Wachiya, First of all, I’d like to express my appreciation in being elected as Chairman of the Board of Compensation at our December meeting and I look forward to taking on the role of President of CREECO as well. I’ve been a Board member for the past four years and I look forward in continuing to work with our Board of Directors, subsidiaries and our team. Secondly, I wish to thank Mr. Rusty Cheezo for his 2 years of service and I look forward to having a productive transition in the next 2 months. Mr. Cheezo has offered his continued support and involvement in certain files and I am confident we will achieve great success with such objectives. As we begin a new journey, I remain optimistic we will achieve a new set of milestones this coming year for BOC-CREECO. The Board of Directors has initiated the passing down of the torch and I look forward to these new challenges. I also wish to thank the wonderful staff of BOC-CREECO for their warm welcome. Together we will achieve great results for the organizations we represent. I am open to new innovative and creative ideas and will collaborate with management, joint venture partners for the betterment of the Board of Compensation, CREECO and its subsidiaries to result in greater return to the Cree Nation. Once again, I look forward to this opportunity, working with our team and wish you all the best in this New Year. Board of CompensationAnnual AssemblyAt the Board of Compensation’s Anniversary Celebration in Eastmain we unveiled the artwork to commemorate 40 years of investing and fostering growth for the benefit of the Nation.

11th Regional Career Fair 2018CREECO with CCDC attended the CHRD Career Fair on October 17-18, 2018 in Waskaganish and we had the Air Creebec flight simulator, which is always a hit with all ages. The youth to our elders enjoyed testing their aviation skills. Our overall message to youth who visited our booth is a question on where do they see themselves in the future and if they know CREECO. We then give a summary of CREECO and its subsidiaries and tell them of the many employment opportunities within the companies. At times they ask how to

get there, my answer “one day I will retire and someone needs to fill my role and all these other jobs, so stay in school, stay focused and work hard!” This always made them smile. We also had a few draws for those who visited our booth
