Duke Hospital Auxiliary is a vital part of the DUMC Health Care Team.

Its primary goal is to support hospital programs, with par-ticular emphasis on patient and family needs.

Auxiliary members contribute thousands of volunteer hours in a broad range of hospital services that raise the levels of patient care and comfort.

Duke Hospital Auxiliary has been in existence for over 65 years. There are three areas of service provided by the Auxiliary which includes four gift shops, fundraising sales and volunteer services programs. We are very active in supporting Duke Hospital with our project funding. The Duke Auxiliary is a nonprofit au-tonomous support corporation to Duke Medical Center and we raise all of our own funds to operate. We are governed by a Board of Directors and daily operations are run by Director, Renea Hunnings.

Volunteers are a valuable part of these processes and we treasure their time and commitment to our programs which help our patients and family members so much. This brochure gives a brief overview of our existing volunteer opportunities. We would love for you to be part of our team and share your time with us.
